Would be better if he actually used a proper honey based rooting compound recipe rather than simply dipping them. If you dip them you need to make sure the layer is really thin otherwise it will block out the water and dry out your plants, the concentrated sugar in the honey is like eating a mouthful of salt. Also, cinnamon isn't itself a rooting compound, it's usually added to other rooting compounds (such as 1 part honey to 2 parts boiling water) as an antifungal agent. While I love the video and his methodology, it didn't really tell us much about how effective these alternatives can be when used properly.

Good experiment to do! It would be great to see how well homemade willow water works, or some other natural source of Gibberellic acid. I think that natural homemade rooting hormone is much safer, because there can be serious problems with rooting hormones... Synthetic hormones are not really "organic". There are other additives included that are also not "organic". There can be MUTAGENIC EFFECTS from some rooting hormones, which essentially means that the plant is being genetically modified in vivo.

@ Kyle.. i find your research quite amazing...what does willow water means..besides what we can use being homemade rooting harmone and another for which plants rooting hormone is used.t
@Kyle-sg4rm
@Kyle-sg4rm 4 жыл бұрын
@@geetapendke7618 Hi! Willow water rooting hormone can be made by harvesting new growth from willow trees, cutting up finely and soaking in water for a couple of days - you then use it to water the plants which you are propagating. You want it quite concentrated, so don't use to much water when soaking the willow. There are probably numerous other plants which could be used for this purpose. Just search something like "plants high in Gibberellic acid". Best wishes!

@@Kyle-sg4rm thanks for the reply so promptly. actually i want to know what for rooting hormone is used for and whether we cab apply it to the leaves of vegetable plants or stems e.g. corriander. chilly. potatto. tomato spinach cabage . or fruit tree leaves.. whether thir rooting hormone will tranform the leaf into a small plant.. which we can grow it in a soil..so that they can yield us fruits vegetables flowers etc. similalry if we aaply rooting hormone e.g. to a Rose Leaf...whether this Rose Leaf will gwrminate and their will be roots and stems to this leaf.
@Kyle-sg4rm
@Kyle-sg4rm 4 жыл бұрын
@@geetapendke7618 It's used to stimulate the growth of new roots in cuttings. It depends on the plant, but sometimes maybe just a leaf is used. But usually it's about soaking/coating the stem where it is cut, just below a node. I believe i'm correct in saying that this type of propagation is called "Macropropagation" and also includes taking "suckers" from plants like bannanas, or "runners" from plants like strawberries, althought they generally already have a root system. It is not always 100% necessary to add rooting hormone with Macropropagation. This kind of merges into what's called "micropropagation", or "tissue-culture", which is somewhat similar in the fact that hormones may be used - whether, they're natural, or synthetic hormones. But micropropagation is also quite different to macropropagation, because many whole plants are grown from cells - The cells can be from leaf cuttings, or other parts of the plant. The leaf, or other part of the plant is not kept as a complete piece, but is dissected into small bits, or processed in another way. From this (with added hormones and usually other stuff), grows many "plantlets". With micropropagation, mutations occur and this is called "somaclonal variation". The process itself causes this, but mutations can also be caused, or increased by the amount/type of hormones used, amount of time exposed to additives and sometimes things like radiation are also used to induce mutations during the process. The degree of somaclonal variation, or other mutation, varies and can often be totally invisible to the human eye. Sometimes it's more visually extreme. But in any case, the plant has changed and is not the same as plants which have been macropropagated from cuttings, or suckers, etc. It changes the species in a way and can pass on these changes as it may still reproduce naturally with the more "natural" plants....... The other thing is that foreign genes can be transferred during the micropropagation process - making the resulting plants "transgenic" (GMO)............... In fact, micropropagation (tissue-culture) is part of the genetic engineering process and is used when deliberately creating transgenic (GMO) plants..... According to the current science, "scientist" still cannot detect transgenes in plants with 100% accuracy...So why did they create transgenic plants in the first place, if they knew they would cross-pollinate with natural plants and pass on transgenes to future generations, eventually replacing all natural plants??? It seems clear, that their intention is to destroy and replace all truly genuine, natural life..... It's evil and is very sad. What is even sadder, is that the majority of people are being distracted by so many other things of far less importance, while their entire food supply and all natural life (including themselves), is being modified, destroyed and replaced................. It's a very serious situation that most people don't know, or care about. There exist Transgenic rice which produces human albumin serum (human blood albumin)...Yes - human genes inserted into the rice genome...Imagine if that is was grown out in the open and cross-pollinated with other rice? People would be eating it and possibly already are! This and so, so, so many other corruptions of nature are being researched, developed and released on a daily basis, worldwide. There are labs everywhere. Cross-pollination isn't the only way it contaminates nature. There is also "horizontal gene transfer" to consider, which means that transgenes can be passed on to all forms of life, simply by coming into contact with transgenic creations (GMOs).................. As they say - "You are what you eat". I didn't intend of writing so much, but did anyway haha. I hope you find the information useful and will do your own research also. Best wishes!
