99% of pure cinnamon produced in the world comes from Sri Lanka ( Ceylon ). What comes from China and other countries is a cheap substitute called cassia. If you want real cinnamon, visit Sri Lanka

now i know that most of the - replies - and comments from - Noel farm - are just auto generated computer crap. it says - 2 replies - but my reply is gone. i did a fairly critical comment but, from what i know to be correct, on the harvesting on cinnamon bark.and later how to grade it and what is being sold. i just got a computer generated reply. the same that i got on other posts or replies as well. negative or more accurate comments are just being deleted. poor show indeed.

Somehow looking at how things are done is asia makes me not enjoy then anymore....It may be the poor sanitary conditions poor safety ones or the poor workers. For a few grams of cinnamon we pay 2-3-4€ grams of the worst quality, as it can go for 15-20€ :) so in the worst conditions a killo will costs allmost 500€ and they still do not provide workers even with shoes.

No, the trees are cut back at 2 years old and then like almost all trees they will regrow several new branches and can be pruned again in 2 years. Trees don’t die from being cut back no matter how often, they just grow branchier or bushier and can be used year after year.
