Mister Puccini in Jazz by Cinzia Tedesco (Sony Classical) is a project born in the harmony of consolidated human and professional relationships and different musical visions that during the recordings have reached a synthesis and a new perspective. Cinzia Tedesco has personally taken care of every detail, shade and sound, creating a new, exciting mood that includes the most important elements of her musical knowledge and experience of the stage. The greatness of the original Puccini’s melodies lives and resonates within extraordinary Jazz harmonies. The uniqueness of the project lies in the arrangements of Stefano Sabatini on piano, in modernity and sophistication of the vocalist that invents a new way of singing the areas, in the groove created for each song by on of the greatest italian jazz drummer Pietro Iodice, supported by Luca Pirozzi on doublebass. The project is powered by Puccini Foundation of Torre del Lago (Tuscany, Italy) and its orchestra plays in Mister Puccini directed by one of the most talented director, Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli, who has been awarded with the ‘OSCAR of Classical Music’.
Cinzia Tedesco is the only jazz singer in the world singing a real ‘OPERA JAZZ’, a project in which beautiful opera area become jazz standard without loosing their inner wonderful value added. Cinzia sings Puccini with a beautiful voice, using jazz scat without being aggressive on the original melodies, defining an amazing jazzy mood.
