@@BlackFlightNY They literally have killed every other speedster that they've fought up until this point The first time Thawne got defeated was because Eddie sacrificed himself to erase Thawne from existance Barry LEFT Zoom to be consumed by the Time Wraiths, which is just as bad as killing Iris shot Savitar (as dumb as that moment was) And in this scene, Thawne killed Godspeed, which only happened because Barry brought Thawne to fight Godspeed on a 2v1 If killing really wasn't the option, then locking him up, stealing Thawne's speed and letting him stay in a cell would the be the next thing on the list, but no, Barry just lets him get away!

Thawne is finally gone, no one to ruin Barry's life as bad as how Thawne did it, and Barry would be finally able to relax. (and probably get some of his friends back? But im not sure if altering the timeline will help, as he has done it many times only for more consequences to happen. Maybe Thawne will be back to life if altering the timeline does occur.) 2. Due to Thawne coming from the future, eventually, Thawne will return back to that timeline, as what basically Thawne did was create a save point for him to come back whenever & whichever timeline he wishes, and if he learns of the previous Thawne's plans he had and how he thought them through & the plans he was GOING to do before he got killed, then there is nothing Barry could do but go to the future (altho im not sure why Barry hasnt done that yet, if u guys know why lmk plz, I dont know that much yet of this show 😅)

Pre-season 1 nothing happens the way it does in the show until way later. Barry doesn't become the Flash until 2020 and his mom doesn't die until 2024 which is the same post-Flashpoint year current Barry runs to to get help from his future self and now the current present timeline in Season 9 is in 2023.
