By far one of the greatest musicians in rock history. So sorry to hear about his son. Words can not describe how it must be to live with that for both him and his son. They need prayer as well as donations. God bless you Mark! You have been my role model and influence for years! Thank you for all of your beautiful music.

Being a Soviet schoolboy, I walked up 45 minutes earlier every day for half a year, just to listen GFR's "Live Album". The spirit of pure primary rock drive is nothing to compare with (only possible exception may be Dick Wagner's "The Frost"). The energy emitting from their music is a thermonuclear explosion. Humble Pie is fine, but nothing to compare with GFR.

DM1956x ... Hello from 2018! Grand Funk Live Album is my favorite double disk of my younger version. "Here's the group you've been waiting to see! Grand. Funk. RAILROAD!!" I love the whole thing, but my favorite is hearing Mark's amps buzzing, the little feedback chirps, the crowd hyping and finally, the title, Mark Says Alllllright!!!! P.S.: The Humble Pie reference from Mark is in reference to Shea stadium in New York. The Live Album was recorded at the Atlanta Pop Festival in either '69 or '70, not sure which year, but I believe it is'70.

I recall that when Huckabee was first running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and it came out that he was a bass player, a reporter asked him who his favorite bass players were. Huckabee replied "Noel Redding of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Mel Schacher of Grand Funk Railroad, with an Honorable Mention to Paul McCartney." And I thought, that's probably as good an answer to that question as there is!

Why are you even watching this video?? i don't know what it is that drives the motif of non-believing FOOLS to shout down those who believe. i'm not interested in arguing with people like you who are so arrogant, proud, and won't listen to people who know more than you do. Hope that one day you can admit your faults that you're wrong. Because there are 2 things when it comes to Faith: The existence of God, and the arrogance not to believe in it.

'Cause everything you just said was ignorant, and devoid of facts and evidence, so i'm just gonna leave you alone because there's really no need to argue with a liberal crybaby. Oh, you also didn't answer my question as to why you are even watching this video to begin with? Oh, i forgot, it's to troll people to make them think you know stuff. It doesn't matter that Mark is Christian conservative and I'm the exact polar opposite. I respect the man because first off, I love his music, and second is that he respects other people and their views, unlike some other rockers such as Ted Nugent that have turned into total assholes filled with hate for anyone who doesn't think like they do.

tp10488 Farner is not a conservative across the board. He's totally for national healthcare- dental care- maternal care- 15.00 dollar a hr. Living wage.

Ted may be a bit harsh, but he is nowhere near the hateful, intolerant, unhinged disgrace and the number of unhinged disgraces on the Left that he is reacting to. If you want to point out something that is truly asshole-rich, look to the Left, not Ted Nugent.

@UFO4X I'm curious who were the better bands, that didn't get credit. GFR is from that pool bands, they were underdogs their whole career, they were they people's band and dominated the 70's. Most bands of the time couldn't even come close to gfr raw energy and live performances, blowing over rated Led Zep off the stage when they were at the top of their game. GFR success was hard earned, they were the hardest working bands of the 70's and arguably the best of that era.

@@geraldroraback5432 I don`t think it`s based off of what Don and Mel get, I think the group has been black balled by bad critical reviews back in the day even though they sold millions of records and packed stadiums. Mark Farner -- awesome fellow. Genuine and intelligent. He was GFR! The vocals, the stage presence, the author of all of the songs. No doubt at all. If one fellow is instant recognizable as the leader of GFR it is Mark. GFR via Mark was with me throughout high school. Mark - just market yourself at Mark Farmer formerly of GFR. That is legal most likely. Although I would love to read your documents. I am a lawyer.
