"So, how was it" "I don't know" I can totally relate to this line, even if I'm on a less severe end of the spectrum than the protagonist. (Not to say his ASD is severe or anything.)
@livvlife
@livvlife Жыл бұрын
You can’t really have severe autism because you cannot he more or less autistic. That’s why labels like “high functioning” or “low functioning” aren’t accurate to how the spectrum works, your autistic or your not, it’s just a matter of how that works for you personally. I’m autistic too! So saying things like severe ASD is a little insensitive.

An obsession with tyres. Can't say I've seen that one before. Also, I expected banging tunes, not white noise. I was saving this for a safe, stressless moment because I knew it'd be intense. I have autism too and thus the stress and confusion Ollie is experiencing is very relatable for me.

I hated growing up this way, I wish they had just held me to normal standards instead and tried to understand my way of thinking so they could meet me at my level and work from there. if you grow up being patronized and treated like a kindergartner, like in this film, it does nothing except destroy all confidence and self-esteem necessary to grow as a person. nobody wants an empty shell of a life sorry my writing sucks im drunk

Garfeef I completely understand and can relate how you feel my son is 17 he has ADHD and mild autism when some one meets our son for the first time me and my husband tell him or her that our son has special needs they automatically respond by saying so he's a handicap I'm like no he has ADHD and mild autism, my son goes to a special school here in New Zealand he's been going to a special school since 2014 before that he went to a mainstream public school had a teacher aide but the school did not have a special school so they basically treated my son like he never had special needs and expected him to behave as if he had no special needs so whenever my son showed his special needs at school he got into trouble and was told to stop at the special school he goes to he can be and behave the way he wants and how he's suppost to the teachers watch the students of course. Having special needs means that your always blamed for every thing a few years ago my son was playing around the street with his younger brother and his brothers mates anyway they found a spray can on the Ground and apparently it still had spray in it so my one of my son's with his mates decide to spray some ones front fence and when they got caught my son and his mates ran off leaving my son with the blame because he had special needs.

@@projectcookie12 - I don't know that it's any specific memory, just a general fear of being trapped in tight spaces. I sometimes have anxiety dreams in which I'm trying to find my way out of a building or parking garage, and the stairwell becomes an increasingly constricted maze, the space between stair flights tapers down and I'm crawling through it, then it dead-ends into a barrier of steel bars, etc. Not fun.

I had autism. Back then Its hard to make friends at my really young age (at my elementary school yrs) I sometimes don't know what to say to them & what their reactions are when I say something to them & all that I think making friends with kids is hard when I was a young girl then I decided to hamgout with adults cuz they're more easier to talk to then the other kids. Also back then in high school yrs when someone ask me how come I didn't drive a car or something like that I tell them about my condition I told them that im autistic or I had autism & finally some don't know what it is, some were afraid of me, some don't wanna be my friends anymore & some ran away from me, which hurts me alot.😢😢😢😢😢 But thank God that I got real friends (from the high school theater) & family that support me, loved me & accepted me for who I am as a shy & quiet autistic artist. 💖✌🏻☮

I’m autistic too and I can really relate to your experience. Autism isn’t a bad thing. It can be very hard, but it’s especially hard because of how people treat you and how this world can be so cruel to disabled people. It’s really hard when people don’t understand or refuse to. I wish there was a way I could learn these social rules and things they all seem to know and try to explain to them my point of view.

You shouldn't have the mindset that people on the spectrum are violent and dangerous, it's such a stupid stereotype. The only reason he would feel like he needs to "throw something or hit someone" would be if he felt like he's being threatened and he's being pushed past his boundaries. Everyone with autism is different. You might be able to find patterns of people that behave similarly, but at the end of the day we are all unique in our own ways.

Thier wheels not donuts. 🍩 Why do they speak so fast? Headphones on. Total regulation. Must be hard sometimes or oftenly. Even with other autistics it's still hard to soshial. They don't always mean what they say. Yet they always get in trouble for it. Still should be an equal amount as the nurotypical. They are prone to facilitating stuff that is not to others.

They talked and acted as they naturally would; without being forced to mask and learn social etiquette to keep the NT's happy. So yes, they are weird- compared to neurotypical people.
