This is my favorite game, really. I’m a big fan of Racing, but not obsessed by simarcing. Like you said, it’s the perfect in-between, and the customization is simply lovely ! Circuit Superstars is a very underrated game which needs more credit !

Really good game, easy to play but hard to master, no bug, good content. A map editor would be a great addition but worth the Price for sure.

Great to see that there are still new players finding their love for the game! ❤ You should also check out the free play mode, once you have finished all the Grand Prix races. There you can fine tune all the different options, like draft, tire wear, damage, etc. and especially the strength of the AI. So if you are stuck between two difficulties you can create your own championship, just how you like it! 😄 And if you want to play online, your best bet is probably searching in the evening (EU times) or checking if anyone is live on twitch. There are even a few leagues still going for anyone feeling competitive! And overall nice review, you brought across how the game feels really well in my opinion! :)

Glad you found this glorious game. There are still a few of us content creators really enamored with this racer. Once you get into multiplayer is where the serious action is. And yes POV and matchmaking is an issue, not gonna deny game has its faults. But get a group of friends to play with, who know how to race respectfully for example give racing room don't dive bomb etc. Then many hours can be lost in competitive lobbies. Time trials are a very good way to learn by racing ghost players. All in all i highly recommend this game, and if you are lucky enough to see me on track, give me a car wiggle.

This game reminds me of an old mobile game I played called Skidstorm. I really loved it and I wish it was still around. Maybe this game can scratch that itch

FYI - iRacing does not own Circuit Superstars or Original Fire Games, merely iRacing and OFG have partnered together on iRacing Arcade. OFG will be developing the game and from the available information online it appears that iRacing is funding, supporting with tooling and certain multiplayer features, and lending their IP to the project - but iRacing definitely does not own Circuit Superstars, nor does it appear that they wholly own the upcoming iRacing Arcade game.

I love this game, but I would love it even more if it had a 3rd person camera mode, I don't mind the isometric style, I like it a lot, but if you play it in split-screen with a friend or kids, girlfriend, whatever, you have an unfair advantage against them if they are not used to this style of camera, it's a minor nitpick of mine. Maybe even an "Art of Rally" style camera, way above the car and track

Damn, I want this integrated in Motorsport Manager. Also, why doesn't the map rotate so your car always points up? I find these top down racers confusing if I have to reverse my steering.

Google knows my thoughts. I was thinking about revisiting this game after 3 years. and this got recommended. It looks harder than it looks. I struggled with the rally tracks.

I just plugged in a second controller and yeah there is absolutely split screen multiplayer! I genuinely wasn't aware of that feature. It's a big plus in my book.. Thanks for the comment!

I tried this game back in the summer sale and while I love its visuals and overall style, one thing that made me refund it is apparently they can just take the game away from you should they decide to no longer work on it or delist the game I may be misreading their EULA but that’s the impression I got from it, keyword being revoking the license from you owning the game

I played this game competitively when the game came out, for 2 years or so. I mostly played it for the multiplayer but only because at some point I had driven all combination of tracks and cars availabe through and through, it was very fun to do. The only issue was with high level online multiplayer against very good players. The Netcode is herrendous sadly so you can have clean races with people who live close by, but as soon as someone lives one country away you'll be pushing them offtrack and into walls without even knowing. It was kinda sad in a Way but I believe in total it is still a very FUN experience especially when you just in it for the Fun! But competitively I'd suggest sticking to Time Trials, otherwise you will get to know the POV (Point of View) Issues very fast. Don't get me wrong you can have great racing online as well when everyone respects and knows about the POV differences on each others end, but it is still a very mixxed back. Still a lovely artistic Racing game and truly an omage for everyone to enjoy who loves real racing but wants an arcade experience.

you did not found a match because the game is basicly dead the driving is more drifting then racing (every single corner) the biggest problem this game has and they never fixed it is the whole aspect of how racing works the game simply does not handle breaking before corner well wich leads to impossible overtakes in mp races and in the end not fun racing experience. the devolepers never understood this crucial mistake besides several other very questionable design choices on the mp side. they promised a lot but simply missed the mark.

getting the platinum trophy for this game is not impossible but extremely grindy and only 0.1% players have achieved it. well last year at least...the last trophy you'll get in the game is the 50,000km trophy. there's no way to view your mileage stats and even if you complete every single championship, it still won't be enough for the trophy. and yes, online lobbies are hard to find so the online trophies you'll likely have to bring a friend along. other than that, it is a good game. only downside is there's not really that much tracks and it does get too repetitive very quickly
