That brick looks nice, and level with the driveway with the edger rounded on the grout turned out awesome! I have never liked the brick inlays since they are never level, hard to roll things across, or since most of the times its not a monolithic pour and they sink after a few years. Yours here will be solid for generations to come!

8:30 - well done on properly taking a "core" out of the brick and doing it nicely, so many would just cut it in half and fil the gap with mortar. I like when people do things properly like this.

I wouldn't do it. It will weaken the driveway

@@OdellCompleteConcrete I thought that might be the case. I am going to install an opener for a double gate and need to get a wire from one side to the other. I thought about boring underneath until the price came in at $900. What about removing a section of the driveway, say 1' wide, and laying in new reinforced concrete? Hey David, pro job as always. Watching you power wash the relief cuts prompted me to think of after market services. That driveway will over time obviously become dirty. There's this guy, 'Bournemouth jet washing' channel. He does many driveways. Generally paved because of where he is but the principle is the same. You're probably too flat out but I thought it could be a complimentary service you provide. Check out his channel perhaps. Thought I'd run it past you. All the best

@@OdellCompleteConcrete it's interior trying not to make a mess my boss seems to think I can get some sort of it sandpaper-like disc he's just afraid that my guy who does it will dig in and make some small divots with the polishing bit on the grinder and I just like to say always enjoyed hanging out with Cal when he comes to the job site

Your customers have good taste. They will be able to store and properly care for their RV. Regarding the saw cuts, maybe your worker could wear one of those water pouch backpacks that would feed a line down to the saw blade. For dust control and blade cooling.

If you cut the relief cuts while the concrete is still somewhat soft , you will also get no chippimg, and its much easier on the blade and saw itself. I usually will do it the same night, few hours after pour , solid to walk on

Any issues you ever see with the sawn curb? A house down the street from mine had one cut a long time ago and it looks like the cement in between the aggregate is pitting. Is that common?

Could you have just used a polymeric sand like they do in interlock ? I did something similar this summer with a cobblestone insert.

Yes, but this will be maintenance free for 30 years minimal
