Ciri & Geralt | like father like daughter

tv show: the witcher (s1-2)
music: gravity wave (twelve titans music), death of a hero (emanuele paletta) (smashed together by me)
very typical of me to start an edit and then abandon it for a few weeks/months before coming back to it and finally editing it.
anyways I know it’s a longer one (they tend to happen a lot…) but I’m kinda proud of this one, even though I wasn’t (and still am not) sure about the ending.
(very important side note: I was like “what kind of name is ciri, I don’t like it” until my goldfish brain remembered that one of the first dogs I got in nintendogs in ca. 2010 is named ciri and I love him very much (though I haven’t fed him for like a year, so I think the feeling is probably not mutual atm))

The "You are already enough Cirilla, you are extraordinary" scene is a proper highlight of the series for me. There's more high quality acting in that scene than in most AAA-Blockbuster movies these days. Freya Allen really found her grove in S2 and Henry Cavill is just awesome. Apparently the show runners recon they can make 4-7 seasons, I'd love to see Netflix really commit to the show and give them enough seasons and episodes to really dive into the lore.

I think each season will be based on each book. Season 1: The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny (makes sense those 2 were just a bunch of short stories) Season 2: The Blood of Elves, my personal favorite 3: Time of Contempt, 2nd favorite 4: Baptism of Fire 5: The Tower of the Swallow 6: Lady of the Lake Possible spin off: Season of Storms (another book of short stories that takes place in the same plot from one of the novels) so yeah 6-7 seasons sounds about right

I agree. When I was reading the books, Geralt was Henry, and I'm not shutting off Liam. Somehow, Henry is Geralt of Rivia. Liam deserves a chance to be Geralt with an open mind, and I wish him the best of luck. I just can't imagine anyone else play Geralt but Henry. I am biased to Henry, as he portrayed the role so well.. open mind people, let's see what Liam can do😊

You can hate me but i ship geralt and ciri more than geralt and yennefer. I mean i ship them together as a father and daughter. It's like he completes that empty void in her heart, her life as for him, she completes his heart with love and companion, more as a family. They can never be away from each other. It's like if she dies, he dies too. They're tied with a long thread. Don't forget that he'd willing to kill people he loved if they dare to harm her, just like how he did not hesitate to put his sword on Yennefer's throat.

These are obviously rumors they’ve been saying the same thing for ages even when the showrunners end up following the lore the fans just didn’t realize. And it’s an adaptation of stories where the writer wasn’t particularly pressed about lore. They’re supposed to be fun. But some of the fans are the worst I’ve ever seen. And so ignorant about the source material, they probably aren’t even fans lol.
