With the rise of the cop watchers, 2008 recession, and so many other factors, it's a real miracle he didn't loose his job.

Any guesses on what year this video is from? I'm getting strong 2005 vibes.

This is so true what he is saying here and it applies to everyone whether your in law enforcement or not. I know with myself that first impressions are everything. I have had people who I have been introduced to and within a couple of minutes out comes their inflated ego and the sarcastic remarks startup. I have been polite toward them and welcomed them to sit with me. I remain calm and if I can I will say excuse me, I have to go. I am never rude however I don’t hold a grudge yet there will be no further exchange in the future or friendship. I am still polite I will say hi to them yet keep walking . I am not a police officer so I have that choice. A police officer has to have contact with the same rude person sometimes so it’s even more difficult for them to remain calm. I liked what the officer said about not taking it personally. I have a strange way of dealing with hostel verbally abusive people, I see them as aggressive wild animals. Usually the reason why animals act that way is that they are frightened. I wouldn’t attack an animal if it was spitting, growling or barking at me, and human beings are no different when they are behaving like this. Like the officer said it’s just adding fuel to the fire if you attack them back verbally. Ego is something we all need to get out of our lives. Ego is not self worth or self esteem they are good things. Ego is pride and no one likes a show off or some one who is arrogant and rude. You can be both assertive and kind at the same time. Also please don’t take anything personally, threats usually aren’t carried through yet you still need to make a note of them. You have to remember it’s not you that these people attack they attack their family, friends and coworkers the same, and other strangers. They are no different to a silly dog that just barks at anything, so don’t bother with it. 🌟😇🇦🇺
