Communications is one of the most useful strategies used by private security and police. When I worked security, 90% of what I did was communicating back and forth with dispatch and the CCTV operators. They'd use radios to notify me of suspicious people, suspicious vehicles, public safety threats, and especially, for calling backup. When you're alone dealing with a group of dangerous criminals intent on harming you, nothing is as useful as calling for backup and seeing another 12-13 security officers and police officers arrive on scene to assist you. Like they taught me during training, *If you can't beat em', outnumber em'.* If backup isn't available (which is a rarity), I usually just use our big security truck or vehicle and disperse them with the intercom speaker system with all of my spotlights and takedown lights focused on them. Usually works.

It's meant for radio communications training, many of the dramatizations are not following protocol, just demonstrating to the students how to effectively use the radio to their advantage. : )

yes the acting was very hokey and unconvincing but industrial and educational films are not about the mise en scene or acting or whether the actor makes you feel something, these films are about communicating a concept or practice to the viewer in a audio-visual way.

1) Policeman doesn't collect data for the Lost and Found Camera report. 2) Why policemen start the pursue of suspect by foot if they have a car and sufficient space to use it? Good video!

Problem is now days many agencies encrypt and do not share to other entities the keys. so public safety outside town 1 has to relie on 2 dispatchers to relay info or by luck someone going to a interop and relying info that way. in public safety 3rd wheels don't work. I known a sheriff dept encrypted and block away 2 city units available yet they cannot hear him in a fight. 3 blocks a ems crew waiting for calls yet they don't hear anything scanning. this life and dispatch delay. no go.

I'm my area the Whole region is on a Shared Multi-County and City System, The Police can talk to other Police wethin the region and the Fire and EMS as well can talk and understand each other. Each city however operates as its own Agency though. its ALL Digital Trunking with analog Trunk backup.
@KandiKlover6 жыл бұрын
Nope. The amount of agencies that don't is far higher. Autistic manchild fearmongering from clickbait videos as usual. Get the fuck outta hear.

another issue is EM buttons. I never known one person to ever use one. 99 percent if they go off nobody cares. the attitude is oh someone sat or bumped it again. one day though. everyone got use to voice over data, tone, or alarm. in my opinion em depress should be considered code 3 high priority and respond to last known location unless advised other wise. one example is the sheriff in Florida last month. he had depressed his em button but nobody responded. oh just another bump against the door in car. however he was knocked unconscious by a large black male in a fight and was able to depress em prior. a civilian armed shot and killed he suspect. nobody called 911 they just recorded whole event until the good civilian shot the suspect then the call went out as officer down man shooting one other man down. so to responders they only know now 2 victims and one being officer one shooter while unknown what is really going on. EM depress should be held as a officer down need back up now type of thing not a dispatcher dragging arse, calling non stop. send priority units then do checks. always can cancel if not needed and always send at least one or two for confirmation in person. consider a officer depresses em, dispatcher requests status, officer doesn't indicate issue and is ok, nobody goes. what if officer is in his unit at gun point and suspect says no secret codes. visual confirmation will determine if he indeed is clear.
@lukekeller77897 жыл бұрын
On the older radios you used to be able to hear if another user set off his alarm, you'd get the little bursts of electronic noise and everyone knew what it meant, Officers would be on the radio asking "whose alarm is that". Now days only the dispatcher sees/hears it and they usually try to get a verbal response from the sender before they put it out as a help call.

That's gotta be the worst crowbar work I've ever seen. How long are you going to wait to jump out of your car before pursuing on foot? And how'd he get shot in the knee from behind his door?
@mikhael79495 жыл бұрын
This was intended for explaining and showing Radio use on a given situation. If it was done in actual protocol no one would understand what is happening because it would be too fast. A bullet can ricochet off the ground even if your standing behind a car door or it was a well placed or lucky shot. So.. are you telling us you have witnessed or were an accomplice in many incidents where people committed burglary using crowbars in alot more skillful ways?

Lol amazing how these training videos promote the police state. Simple traffic stops. No wants no warrants. Still walks up with her hand on a gun. Dude standing in a parking lot " suspicious" immediately demands id, based off a stranger , saying he looked suspiscious ...... No evidence of a crime, didnt even articulate any suspicion of a crime. Police state usa.. It dont matter if ok boy had a traffic warrant. The cop does that to everybody, illegally detains citizens, illegally identifies them, 99% of the time for no reason....

Terrible microphone practice by all the officers. How are they meant to get the best range and audio when they don't even properly talk into the microphone?
@ObamaTookMyCat6 жыл бұрын
if you are referring to the fact that they do not place the mic to their mouth, this is actually correct. The lapel mics that these radios have are REALLY sensitive... so talking into it like they are in the video is actually better than talking directly into it, because then it would sound like the mic is down your throat.

The trend with modern interoperability radio systems is to eliminate codes and use standard phoenetics. This is to avoid confusion when different agencies are communicating with each other.
