Knee to the back of the leg and pulling him down after he lost balance was masterful. And Gane doesn't even grapple that much he's still smart with it.

Ciryl Gane is not your typical heavyweight. He's quick, has agility, cardio, reflexes, and high fight IQ but when I saw Francis Ngannou grab Ciryl Gane left him up in the air and slam him on his head. It took Ciryl Gane's soul right out of him cause Ciryl has always imposed his will on his opponents. So to be a heavyweight and lefted in the air than getting slammed on his head clearly broke him. Ciryl fought scared of Francis power but than shocked getting slammed on to his head. Made Ciryl give up and scared of Francis. Next fight should be, Ciryle vs Stipe or Jones.
@BrogCanadian2 жыл бұрын
I actually think Ngannou was the one scared of Ganes power and striking, that's why he held him on the ground for so long. Ngannou didn't want to stand with Gane
@GateKeeper362 жыл бұрын
@@BrogCanadian Strange, I have it the other way around. Before the slam came in the 3rd Ciryl wasn't fighting guys close in the pocket like he always does. I believe he was actually scared of Ngannou power but than the slam came and I bet that was the first time in his life as a professional MMA Fighter but this just my view on the fight cause I only watched round 3. That was what I witnessed in round 3.
@auranewaters95742 жыл бұрын
@@GateKeeper36 Both were timid and „scared“ and looked terrible in that fight tbh. Francis landed takedowns and just layed on top doing nothing while Gane would have won if he didn’t go for the heelhook in round 5 (you can still argue he won that fight). I think Gane schools him if they fight again

True professional to let that go that quickly. It's very easy to mess a guy up for life if you crank that heel hook too far or too long. The heel hook isn't even allowed in major jiu-jitsu tournaments.
