Don't forget to enable presence in your config. None of my BLF came up on my 7965 without it enabled globally.

It's been a long time indeed! You still haven't updated the Network Locale setting to play the British style "burr burr burr burr" ringback tone. It's still on the North American setting.

It's not obvious that one has to have a phone with speed dial buttons to have speed dial functionality. I've used more than one phone system that had speed dial functionality from plain old analog POTS phones. One place I worked a couple of decades or so ago had a 1A2 relay based key phone system, or something similar, with speed dial capabilities. With the Avaya Definity phone system we used to use where I currently work, one could speed dial by dialing *1 plus a two digit speed dial code, such as *101. The Definity system also had BLF functionality on its digital phones. In this case, Definitiy digital phones didn't mean IP phones. They could only be connected to a Definity PBX system. Since we downgraded to IP phones, we no longer have BLF functionality. The IP phones we use support BLF functionality, but our external cloud based phone service provider doesn't. And, thanks to that cloud based system, we now have the pleasure of occasionally having our entire phone system down company wide from coast to coast when there's a network problem. There are some aspects of our old phone system I do miss. I'm following this channel so I can set up a more robust phone system in my home with many of the features I miss from the Avaya Definity system we used to have at work.

Looks like you need to find another Cloud Based telephone provider. The good ones allow BLF functionality and multiple servers for each geographic region etc.

How to enable BLF Presence in your Cisco Unified CME system. Router> enable (enter password if required) Router# configure terminal Router(config)# sip-ua Router(config-sip-ua)# presence enable Router(config-sip-ua)# exit Router(config)# presence Router(config-presence)# max-subscription 128 (do max-subscription ? to see the maximum if your router does not allow this number of subscriptions.) Router(config-presence)# presence call-list Router(config-presence)# end Now, after you have done this. You have to enter "allow watch" in all of your phones configuration for BLF to take effect. (example) ephone-dn 1 allow watch end
