Mike you are an angel in IT field if you know how much you're helping young people in their IT career. May God rewards you for everything you're doing. I'm about to enroll in your bootcamp because I need more practices on aws solution architect despite all the theories.

Thank you, Esrom! It will be a pleasure to have you on board! The program teaches you the fundamentals of cloud computing. We don't focus on any specific cloud because if you learn "The Cloud" you can work with any cloud. #cloudhired

This stuff is amazing. I'm a ex-marine currently in law enforcement. I've obtained my A+ and Network+ now shooting for CCNA. I'm looking to become an engineer. I do have a fear of not getting hired due to a lack of experience in the field. I will continue with my studies and see what happens, but I'm definitely in love with this series. It's amazing and right up my alley. Any tips will be highly appreciated.

Christian - You can do anything with the right plan, hard effort and discipline. Just get the right plan, follow that plan and when it gets rough keep fighting until you win. Even if that involves a little adaption, improvisation, and overcoming something I bet your good at Here is an article I wrote for American security magazine. It takes about some attributes you can use to your advantage when transitioning from military life. Thank you for your service americansecuritytoday.com/helping-heroes-get-hired-building-up-military-resumes-for-tech-careers/

@@GoCloudArchitects Thank you for the reply. I read your article and it filled me with motivation. It was interesting to see Mr. Bratton my former commissioner on the page. I'm very excited to continue with my studies. Thank you so much for your encouragement.

Wow thank you Mike for clearly explaining the difference between HUB, Switch, and a Router. My takeaway HUB (communication among users) Switch (controlled, directed communication aka No traffic jams) Router (next level communication with permissions enabled/disabled i.e.. traffic police officer allowing only permitted traffic in the area)

Hi Sir I started IT in 1984, operating mainframes, network magement. Desktop support and operating unix server. Certs were not big then but now it's the thing when browsing job apps.

It’s funny around 1995-2000 certifications meant something. That’s when I did my CCIE and it was a great introduction to networking for me. Then I spent 25 years really learning networking. We have interviewed thousands os technology professionals. CEOs, CIOs, CTOs and hiring managers. We have yet to find any person who does hiring that cares about certifications. Everyone we speak to cares about competency, communication skills, leadership ability, attitude, emotional intelligence and willingness to go above and beyond. Now for the people selling certifications that’s another story. So do as you wish. But we suggest focusing on the above skills over certifications.

27:45; 2:42:07 "I am root."🌴 aka #GuardiansoftheGalaxy📼 mode.😁 28:25 "hostmane" 😆. Sounds like something ppl in my urban neck of the woods would type. 😎 (1:56:00 Hostanme almost seems like Hostanime. I'd prob watch that.📺👌🏽) 51:15 I've seen 0 15 in virtual teletype (vty) lines too. I forgot why it's so too. My best memory is that commonly available remote lines in a CLI terminal for a router is 5 & a switch is 16 which conversely references it's physical available ports at that time & now. Hence, 0 - 4 & 0 - 16 respectively John Phiri. Thus, it's the alternative to physical connection via remotely (SSH, Telnet, etc.) through the virtual interface. 1:30:30 A hub in its pure form, which should by now be defunct, is basically a repeater Evo. 3:39:00 Richard & Coyote & that other name, Ivan? 🤩

Hi Mike. Based on the similar HUB principle that WIFI works with, can you overwhelm a WIFI network with broadcast traffic and disable it? If so what type of additional security risks would you have?
