My friend took CCNA and it was the same thing with not being able to go back to correct your previous answers, except mostly it was 1 question per page, but sometimes there were four questions on one page and some people would get so nervous they would just answer the first one and click "next", only to realize there were three more questions that they just failed. Be careful with this, guys.

Yes, Cisco exams do not allow you to skip then go back. If you get stuck on a question, think what is the answer cisco is looking for. . .

I took it and the forensics questions did me in. It wasnt so much as the questions it was one word that was used in like 5 questions I think it was. Attribution....I had never heard of it before and even going back and searching through the online materials Cisco provided us....it was NO where in the materials. First cert i failed first time up.

I’ve taken this exam twice now and failed. I got closer the second time but it’s so expensive to sit the exam! I’m still studying but part of me wants to give up now. Any tips of just getting that slightly deeper knowledge in order to pass? I have the official cert guide and ive found that it’s not that well aligned with the exam questions. The exam seems to be so much more detailed and deeper than the cert guide.

Thanks for watching! If you want to get a good foundation on networking, I would definitely say knock out the CCNA then do CyberOps for more security focus. CCNA also covers some security stuff on the exam.

@@praveendissanayake2509 I would say CyberOps is a bit more "technical" when I took them, but SSCP has been updated recently I think. But overall Cisco digs into specific tools a bit more in their outline.

I think they were good, but the exam review from cisco learning network was a bit more difficult imo, which I liked. Both were useful though. Neither were exactly like the exam.

For plural sight do you just have to buy the "skills" product and it gives you the option to study all of the ones you showed us?

@@sugarskulllyfe5890 Cool! I've heard good things about CySA+ but wanted to go with this one first. I have CySA on my list but we'll see if I decide to go for it or not. Seems like it may be a bit more hands on test wise than CyberOps but I do think they cover very similar content. Plus I wanted to see what the Cisco exam process was like. I've taken CompTIA in the past so I wanted to try something totally different. I don't think you can go wrong either way, I say go for whichever you find interesting!

I didn't count the hours of study time, I just tend to study when I feel like it. Though I try to study something every day when I'm preparing for a cert. I spent about a month or so preparing.

Still worth taking it this year? I have a degree in cyber security and a cloud certification. I want to get into an analyst or entry role. I've studied all the modules for cyberops and seem ready. Is there anything you would reccomend after this certification?

If the topics of the cert align with what you're trying to learn and/or the skills you want to validate I say go for it. Similar with anything after this, if you're into cloud then I'd say focus on cloud security tools/certs. It is pretty wide open in my opinion, mostly depends on what you're interested in. I ended up following this one with the SSCP, which isn't as "in the weeds" technically, but something I wanted to do for the style and content of the exam.

@@nimeroff I would say each company may use those terms interchangeably, so I'd say focus more on what you want to do and not so much on the name of the role itself. A security analyst at once organization may be the same thing as a security engineer at another.

Exam on Friday, felt like I had a good chance of passing as I studied the whole book did all the practice questions with the Premium purchase of the book and another 300-400 questions from other resources and I'm pretty comfortable with most of the topics - I have my CCNA and 10+ years IT experience and have been getting into pentesting in the last year - however after watching your video I just purchased and did the practice exam from Cisco Learning and MAN WAS THAT A DISASTER!!!!! Oh well I'm not postponing the exam (again), another 36 hours of studying and either the Cisco Learning exam was retarded or I'm out $400 and another couple weeks of study time... meh

@@pablonavarro6263 I did pass but not by that much in one section specifically, actually when I clicked Submit Exam I thought for sure I had failed cause I was definitely not confident about many of the questions. In any case I'm sure the extra study material could only be beneficial since I find the Cisco exam questions tend to be weird at times so if anything you're just increasing your chances of getting a question you've already seen in your studies.

@@alexandreletourneau8560 congratulations on passing that's great, Cyberops is going to be my first certification, did you find the exam very technical like asking for commands and what software to use or was it mainly concept ideas because Ive read the book and did good on the practice exams 1 and 2, did a lot more practice exams that I found on KZbin I studied all the lessons on ITproTV and cbt nuggets but I realized that on those courses didnt get to technical on how to use the software

@@pablonavarro6263 In my experience no need to know how to use the softwares much, the closer you'll get to that is analysing a screenshot of AMP or FMC or any of these Cisco tools. You might see some Linux commands though but I've let go of Windows a few years ago so I knew I'd be fine with that.
