Been thinking about this or the Henry x…. I like this version because it’s so light and with the 16 inch barrel so handy…. But it’s a citadel….so overall craftsmanship of the firearm as well as reliability…

@@matthewberkowitz9699 I owned a Henry X in 357 and it was a nice rifle. I haven't done a ton of shooting with the Citadel but so far the only issue I've had is feeding the 357. I loaded both the 38 & 357 using the same bullets which were 158gn flat point copper jacket. Not sure why or if it just needs a little more break-in. The citadel is a beater and you can get 2 for the current price of the Henry. Citadel is a Rossi M92 so parts are interchangeable. Overall the trigger and action are great. Very pleased for the price.

Both loads were hand cast bullets from a Lee 158 grain SWC mold. These are hand loads and I load on the hotter side. The powder was Hodgdon Titegroup. 38 special was around 950 FPS and the 357 was around 1250 FPS.

What is thread pitch on barrel? I have a Deadair Sandman S and want to make sure this would work, considering I add the correct muzzle brake

The thread pitch is 1/2-28 on the 357.

No, it doesn't matter. The loudness is the supersonic crack. I'm not wearing hearing protection.

@@GunslingerOfficial The suppressor is one I built on an ATF Form 1 before they stopped approving them at the 1st of the year. It can handle 7.62x39 rounds.

Some suppressors are built differently and can handle very high pressure rounds along with full auto fire

I'm alternating between 38 special which is subsonic and 357 magnum which is supersonic. The loudness is the supersonic crack, not the report from the actual shot.

What suppressor?

Well, a few years back you could turn in a Form 1 to the ATF and build you own suppressor. This is a Form 1 suppressor made from a titanium tube and end caps. The baffles are formed steel that was heat treated.

So 357 you cannot really suppress...But 38 is sweet

On the 357, what you are hearing is the sonic crack, not the report from the actual gun powder. I am not wearing any hearing protection.
