Does ssri make u loose your sex drive the reason I'm asking this is because I'm trying to get on an SSRI today when I see my doctor and I want to know before I get on the phone with him and talk with him I was on Prozac and celexa before with many many years ago and I can't quite remember I do remember that I did gain weight but with Prozac I'm not sure what's Alexa because I was going through a rough patch when I was on ssri celexa ?? Any comments or anyting anybody can help me out with would appreciate it very much

No,not for me,I'm very sexually active at 44 (male) first month is difficult to climax,after that,it's fine,just don't drink too much alcohol or you'll need 5 girlfriend

my doc gave me a talk bout being on it. until i tol dhim to look .. all he coudl say was sh*t. i have been on it for 30 years .. nice short term med doc (how do i get of it ??? i tried once cold turkey for a month.. never doing it again. but one day i would like off it. i just feel its bit late. )

It would take about 6 months to a year for your body to reverse the changes and get over the withdrawals those medications can leave you with. I used to have that issue with anti depressants. See if you can swap your anti depressant for Wellbutrin if you really want to stay on meds. But personally I'd just stay off it, if you can, give it like 6 months or 1 year no matter how bad it is. Remember being on it for 30 years it will take time for the body to fight that. You can do this!
