Guido, your videos really make me appreciate what good cockpit management looks like. David seems like a solid addition to your company. He'll learn a lot from your experience and attention to detail. Todd

Thank you very much for your kind words, Todd. David, is a very good pilot and it is always my goal to share my 2 cents worth of knowledge with the new pilots. And I always learn as well from my fellow crew members. Thanks for watching my videos and happy Landings, Guido

Just brilliant....as are all your videos. By far the most engaging and informative flying videos on KZbin and your manner promotes great confidence building for both your passengers and co-pilot. Keep them coming Guido. Beautifully done. Thank you!

Very interesting the distinction between "departure" and "takeoff." I'll definitely implement that going forward. Another great video!

Thank you very much Chris. I always (at least I try to...) train like I fly and to fly like I train. This automatically retains the professionalism in the cockpit. Thanks for you kind word. More videos are in the works, please stay tuned. Happy Landings, Guido

Thank you! The ailerons (on the wings) are combined with the rudder (on the tail) in order to make coordinated turns. As I steer the aircraft as well with the rudder pedals (they are connected to the nose wheel), the yoke moves every time I push the rudder pedals. Not all airplanes have this system, but some Cessna products have. Happy Landings, Guido

David paid for all his training by himself, worked as a line man and later manager of the line services. PPL, ME IFR...the whole thing. We recently hired him as a First Officer on a B100 King Air. Happy Landings, Guido

Thank you very much. I am glad that I can share some of the information that other experienced pilots shared with me. So please pay it forward: share your knowledge with other pilots. This makes all better pilots, safer and more professional. Thanks for watching my videos and happy landings, Guido

Sebastian, I have an adapter plugged in the headset socket in the aircraft. So the audio is what you here over the headset. Thanks for watching my videos and happy landings, Guido

Love the way you alway fly the bird manually for a long time. Most pilots are used to engage the autopilot as soon as possible... Such a shame! Thanks for sharing :)

Hand flying is a skill that fades away if not practiced regularly. During a single pilot operation it requires, however, good judgement of when to use the autopilot and when to fly by hand. This can lead quickly to "task saturation" and unsafe situations in the cockpit. Thanks for watching my videos in such great detail and happy landings, Guido

Thank you! We did not have any lawnmowers running in the cabin .... I think this were just imperfections in the intercom system. The sound comes from the headset sockets with a cable connection to the camera. There is some static background noise. I will change the cable and see if it makes any difference Thanks for watching my videos. Please share them with anyone who might be interested. Happy Landings, Guido.

Rudders and ailerons are connected by a spring loaded cable to minimize adverse yaw in turns during flight (makes it easier to fly coordinated, smooth turns). On the ground, there are no aerodynamic forces, so every time I push the rudder to steer the nose wheel the yoke "magically" moves... Thanks for watching my videos and happy landings, Guido

Arjen: first of all - thank you very much for watching my videos! Unfortunately, none of my flights are "recreational". We operate a company for flying aircraft owners and charter passengers. Our company is very safety minded ad has a great professional record in the industry. Training is essential but we do this only if it does not interfere with flight safety whatsoever; for example during dedicated training flights or flights without passengers. Happy landings, Guido

Thanks for watching my videos in such great detail! Yes, please obey these rules. In 1977 over 500 people died in a collision between two B747's in Tenerife, Spain. Take off clearances were mixed up, situational awareness was lost and one crew took of without a take off clearance. In dense fog. This is when the expressions "departure" and "take off" were introduced by the ICAO. Please share this with your fellow pilots. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZmoppR6i9OCmKc Happy Landings, Guido

My apologize, I meant how did he or yourself go about earning flying hours, I am currently a private pilot about to start my instrument training in the next month and the future after I earn my instrument ratings seems gray. I noticed you have a lot of videos in the king air, was that a small company you got hired by. if it was a training school that you or David attended whats the name of it? sorry for the lengthy post
