Cities Skylines 2: How to fix Traffic

So if you notice parking lots are always causing traffic issues and it creates dead locks because people keep going inside and finding out there is no more empty parking spaces and getting out which creates loops that stucks themselves. Really frustrating when this is always happening

In that case I think it's important to know where you're placing the parking lot. Maybe you can create a alley road to add parking lots instead of adding them into the higher traffic roads. This will maybe fix some of the issue.

I've read people say public transportation has no effect on traffic. I have transportation set up partly, but I stopped because I thought it was pointless.

I don't really have that feedback. I think it does have an impact otherwise my city would be full of traffic. I see a lot of my citizens using the public transports and I only see a lot of traffic when I add high density buildings like skyscrapers.

Seems like CS2 is working now a days. I kept playing CS, cause CS2 had so many issues. I hope the mod list is as good as in the first one

It’s not yet. No assets and a limited list of mods that aren’t enough yet.

The game still has a couple of bugs and there are a few issues, but it's a much better game then it was on the release day. It's playable and for me, it's like this game is still on Early Access. There are bugs being fixed and new features being added, so, it can only get better 😁

@@NunoLacGames I see. I'm working on my city for a long time now and all these mods are carrying the game. I've seen CS2 colabed with a few modder crews before the release. Are the most useful mods for traffic already in the game by now and most importantly, is the traffic issue fixed (usage of only one lane of the road etc)? 👀

@alex-hh The modding community is growing for CS2 but it's still far from what we have on CS. Yes, on CS2 there isn't that issue of the road lane, instead there are other issues, but everything should be fixed in due time. At least I believe so. I know it wasn't the best release for them, but they want this game to be better then CS, so, I believe they will do everything in their power to make it so even if it takes time. We have No Man's Sky example. The release was awful but now it's one, if not the best game of space exploration.

I had no idea you could just delete traffic lights and cross walks. Even when i used round abouts the pedes traffic would clog it up

Yeah, you can remove them. To remove them all you need to do is first unlock the advanced road services on the development tree and then select either the crosswalk or the traffic lights icon and then with the right mouse button you can remove them 😄 or add them with the left mouse button

It helps but we must be careful. If you place to many roundabouts nearby it also creates jams. On New Grimoire series I've placed to many roundabouts and it was chaos on those intersections 🤣
