the metro line is quite good, the bus routes imho can be better: stopping in front of metro stations is quite tempting but cims can teavel quite long distancies by feet, they can walk from a metro station to their final destination with no problems. plus i'm into public transportation and one of the best type of bus route is the one that makes north-south or east-west for the entire length of the city and makes its own loop. i mean: just don't create 2 separate lines to do the same thing. for example you have one line going up for the 1st avenue and comes back along the 2nd or the 3rd, cims can easly walk 2 blocks. add or remove busses to a line when needed. remember to space the stops a good bit from one another, this way u can limit the trafic.

Two things I noticed, Flux: - At the University, there is no pedestrian crossing between train and metro station. They would have to walk quite a long way around although they just need to get to the other side of the road. - The bus routes around the bus hub are kinda messed up if I saw that right. You may try to change the direction of the one way road so that busses dont drive unnessessary loops. Just an idea, didnt really look into it... Yeah I know, details, but they may help. ;)

Also, I noticed the road that goes through the bus terminal makes them loop every time, maybe you could change its direction? You can make multiple bus stops on one terminal "stop" too.

I don't know about this idea but here it goes: Find a bunch of log cabin/rental style houses in the workshop and put them in a district style. Then, you can use the style to make little cabin/rental areas in the national park.

a few things I'd like to suggest. the roundabout for the new suburb should be reversed, that is to say counter clockwise for right hand drive. instead of foothills you should create a lake and maybe a small river through the city to diversify the land. lastly you should get some multitrack metros to improve transfers

Please name one of the back areas of the island Noki Bay. In Super Mario Sunshine, Noki bay was the part of the island that was barely touched by civilisation, and is a remote and harmonic area with beautiful cliffs and shoals.

Flux I had /have the very same issue. The only way I can see on removing those trees is by what you said but I DO know how to avoid that issue next time. Make multiple backups of rhinestone island (I did four) and when your done with what you made for the day, just save what you have made on four backups each with a minor change, like a road or something. Then when the glitch comes back, it only happens on one backup and the others are safe. It's kinda tideous after a while but you know what they say: better safe then sorry. If the mod comes out then you can dump my idea but do as you like! I love your content, congrats on 100,000 subs and good luck with rhinestone island (lol your skill doesn't need luck)

This episode was really great! You showed us enough of the bus line action, but kept it interesting by fast-forwarding to the end result. I look forward to some awesome train action :) One critique: By kicking up the bus funding, your bus lines are using tons of buses. Just from that few seconds you showed us the main city, it is apparent that there are way too many buses. Try moving it back down to 110-130%

You should look into a custom metro station with multiple tracks in multiple directions/levels and put it across from the bus transfer station so it can act as a hub for the subways and a main transfer point for your subways to the busses!

Hey, Flux! Enjoying the series! I noticed that your roundabout at 26:42 is "wrong". By "wrong", I mean that it's the wrong way round. For cars coming TO the roundabout, they have to cross the path of the cars coming OUT OF the roundabout. This might cause some conjestion later on down the line. Just something I noticed. +dedZombie I'll look into that more - When I'm working on interchanges and road networks, there's less camera movement, but it looks like the detail work I did in this one may have been a little fast because of all the camera movement. I'll try cutting more out and slowing it down a bit the next time I do a speed build like this one.

Bus routes should loop at the end and come back to their starting point. It would be easier to create and manage one lane instead of two separate lines doing same thing. You could try it, make looping points far from the city centre and create lines going there, looping and going back to start.

You can add more pedestrian crosses to the university road, it would improve pedestrian traffic, especially in front of the train station.

Flux its actually much better to have passengers transfer between stations inside the network instead of walking out. Maybe look into multiplatform train station assests and make one of the stations on the main avenue "Grand Central" station. :)

theres a good mod that allows you to copy and past any buildings you want. If you copy some of the larger buildings and spread them out then the skyline will blend better.

I think the metro lines should actually overlap. It's how many cities connect lines, because nobody would wanna walk to connect to a different line unless they have to. It's more efficient.
