One trick that I have found is to keep the number of traffic lights to a minimum.

In a grid city you should use a LOT of 1 way roads, kinda like in NYC for example

I have developed my ways, first you need a 8 lane road from workshop. That’s your main road. You can have 2-3 of those. 4 lane or 6 lane roads are only connected to main roads, 2 lane roads are only connected to 4 or 6 lane roads. This you separated low traffic area from high traffic area. You should make 1x2 grinds or even 1x3 grind so there’s enough space for cars to move. You want stop signs in low traffic areas, and stop signs on small roads to give the cars on big road lane priorities.

When there's no industrial zones and you have only commercial/office zones for jobs, the demand for those go up, since the mass of jobs provided by industrial are nonexistent.

Offices should take up about 70-80% of businesses, at least in the downtown area. The other 20-30% of businesses should be commercial. Then also add as many homes as you would please to, and also some unique buildings. Just don’t zone areas too fast

hmm, your connection between highways and other roads is kinda bad. In this case, a roundabout would be great. Smaller one would do... + You need more entrances to the city, so that trafic does not accumulate on the main highway...
