Deputy BOST MD, Moses Asem, was arrested on the Dawhenya road for abusing siren to beat traffic over the weekend.
He claimed to have clearance from the National Security Minister, Bryan Acheampong but he had no evidence to show for it.
He pleaded to be allowed to go with the excuse that he had the donations to a funeral he was attending.
He was arrested with 28 others by the Police in CitiTV’s ongoing War Against Indiscipline campaign.
Out of the 29 culprits, Mr Asem is one of 5 persons who are yet to appear before the court.
Here is the full report filed by Citi News’ Caleb Kudah.

So, the Deputy Bost MD was finally let go... This is the reason why he was so confident when he was stopped, he was even hesitant to comply with police orders because he knew all it would take was just one lousy phone call to one of his "Big-Man" friends and everything will be sorted. Can u call a "Big-Man" to facilitate a bending of the rules on your behalf in any developed nation? The answer is a BIG NO!! Phone calls are never valid licenses, documents are. This is a wonderful initiative but as it is evident to see, these punitive measures will only be meted out to those at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder and will only assist in reinforcing the culture of impunity and elitism among the ruling class. The problem has never been the indiscipline of the citizenry but rather, the lack of political will to diligently enforce laws as well as the lack of strong independent institutions that can counterbalance influence, aka checks and balances

To make my point further, the deputy asked the officers in a briefing if they know what a strobe light is? Do these officers use bicycle lights? So, why did the ASP allowed that Ewe man to go & let others stay? The man who came to beg for this BOST man, is he above the laws of the land? If such nonsense continue, how do you expect the law to take its course & moreover, is it Ghanaians paying the ASP or the person who came to bail him out? That ASP is not fit for the job. He must be fired, to be a lesson for those who’ll be trying to emulate his bad habits. If you release one for the same offense, why not free them all? This’s nonsense & stupid.

In USA, when you are stopped by the police: 1. Pull over and put your hands on your steer until the police come to you 2. NEVER get out your car or you might get shot because the police will think that you have a bad substance like knife or gun 3. If you were overspeeding, the police may give you a warning ticket if you are say a nurse, soldier or in government position and your situation called for you to do that. But that's the police's choice 4. I hope Ghana govt will let their police get some workshop from American police
