Thanks to all of you who show us how to repair change and give maintenance to watches. I've got very rusted Citizen seven eagle with Miyota 8200, it was My dad's, he never took it to repair, the watch got sea water inside so, it ended all rusted and months dial got dehintegrated, yes, it just turned to dust and the black face got whiteish all over, so I decided to restore the face and change the whole movement. I've done it before with smaller movements like Miyota 2035 and another brand wich I can't remember its name, movement has same size/dimensions as 2035. It will be easy (I think) just to make the 8200 change and get the watch to work again. Oh, I'm not an expert in watchmaking or maintenance, I'm just a guy who likes to do it himself. Of course I have to take all precautions so the movement ends working properly. Thanks for the vídeo, wish me luck because as I said, I don't even have the correct tools. 😅

Funny how the bracelet you used looked EXACTLY LIKE the original these come with. You got the day and date to switch exactly how they actually do with these. You see the day change around 2:30am with these. I have a gold one that's like a 2004. The 7 has like a red sheild background inside a gold eagle. Mine is 9ct gold plated.

I have a 1975 8200 Citizen and I rarely wear it as its just too small for me but it works abs brilliantly for its age and gives a good timegrapher reading so plenty of life in it still. I'm recasing my two Seiko 7009's tonite as bought a rare sports bezel'd 7009 case from ebay which my -3100 is being transferred to, the -3100's case will then house the horrid Indian'd 3040 and I have from Russia coming another 7009 which is missing its stem and crystal and will use the leftover bits I got to put that one back in service :) Would love to see a Soviet quartz vid if you ever get your hands on a Soviet 3050, 3056 or 3056A or the even rarer 3055 Luch hybrid electro-mechanical movements :D

Thank you for this great video. I admire your skills and precision. I bought for my father from eBay two 8200a in India, and since they were not accurate I tried to adjust them but I must have damaged the spring mechanism then now one does not move anymore and the other one starts when I shake it and then stops. I wonder if spring mechanism parts can be purchased but I believe having them serviced will be higher than the 40 euros each one costed. Thank You

Hello, I have a question to see if you can give me a hand, I have a citizen 7 eagle with the same movement (8200a), but it has been kept for a year and a half, I sold it yesterday and the buyer tells me that the watch has stopped for 3 sometimes even wearing it on the wrist...do you think that due to the time it has been stored it should be charged longer or perhaps it needs maintenance (lubrication)...what do you recommend, regards.
@tickingWATCH Жыл бұрын
Hi, 8200a you have to wear at least a day so it gets his significant power reserve, ofcourse when the last service was for 5 years or longer, have to be done either

Hi, could be that the cannon pinion sites, not enough together with the centre wheel, you need to squeeze it a little bit, but be careful there not to damage it, only a little bit so that you will feel some force when you adjust the time
