That's awesome. Would be useful for copying emblems and such. I have a D060 Windsurfer Citizen that needs the logo emblems.

Very enjoyable video, I have done some similar projects "not watches" air bubbles can be a big problem in the resin. thanks for sharing.
@VintageDigitalWatches4 жыл бұрын
Have you used a vacuum unit or managed to work around the bubbles?
@BillMrWild4 жыл бұрын
No, this was many years ago I had a make your own chess piece set it had rubber molds that you filled with resin, the black pieces were okay but the ivory pieces were a problem with air bubbles. it happens when you mix the hardener with the resin care must be taken not to mix in air bubbles

Tibi, I saw some mistakese you did during the process. First You have to make excess resin channels in your moulds. Second thing is that You don't need presure chamber to get rid of air bubbles. Try puting your moulds on a vibrator (not the "anatomic" one but it will work too :D) when pouring liquid resin in it. And do it from higher distance with needle thin stream. It get rid of air bubbles. Hope that helps! You are my Inspiration so I would be verry happy if my tips going to help you!

Hi Trawis, I am sure there was some clumsiness and lack of experience due to my limited time working with molds and I appreciate the suggestions and will be good for other attempts. However the vent holes weren't something in all tutorials so I skipped. As for shakers yeah they would have helped but set out not to buy "use once" tools for this project. Cheers, Tibi

Hi. Could it be used for making g-shock bezel? I've got one from 1993 and spare parts are either uber expensive or unavailable here in Warsaw. I was considering polimer clay version or polimer+coffe sticks version (starb..cks oryginal wood ;D ). It is very strange when bezel breaks while cleaning with tooth brush and soap.... Maybe You know easier method? All best
