I think it's not a sapphire crystal. On the Citizen website it says mineral crystal. www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/product/BU2021-51L.html But other than that it's a great watch, I love it !
@EliBates958 жыл бұрын
Really great review man. One thing to add, at 4:44 I believe you stated the dial-window was made of sapphire-crystal. Unfortunately it is actually a mineral dial-window (x3 less harder). Maybe add an annotation so people don't get confused. Nonetheless, great video! subscribed.

Great review! The blue colour of the dial is gorgeous! I know the review is 6 years old, but Citizen are showing it on their website again. I have subscribed after I watched a few of your reviews. You definitely deserve a lot more subscribers. The glass is what Citizen are calling “Anti-Reflective Spherical Crystal” which is easy to misread as ‘Anti-Reflective Sapphire Crystal’ especially if you are looking at a lot of different watches and are quickly scanning the Watch specs. I initially thought I had read Anti-Reflective Sapphire Crystal, it was only when I took a more thorough look, that I realised it was Spherical Crystal.
@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot. Yeah it's a little confusing. I don't think I've ever heard a crystal described like that other than from Citizen.
@Judas_Phart Жыл бұрын
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces I’m not sure if it’s a new/ish description from Citizen. It’s only recently that I have noticed the description, “Spherical Crystal” and I know that Citizen use the description “Mineral Crystal” like other brands do. It’s either a new description “Spherical Crystal” or it may be a new version of “Mineral Crystal” that Citizen have created.

To answer your question, it's pronounced like calendri-eh or "é". It's a French word, and the last "r" is extremely subtle... like your not pronouncing it. Thank you for this video! I just bought this watch, and I guess citizen no longer provides manuals, nor could I find an explanation ANYWHERE on how to use the time zone dial. Very helpful!

The day of the month (3 o'clock subdial) is set by half pulling out the crown and turning counter-clockwise.

how do you compensate for DST?! Looks like there isn't anything to do that. For example, the time difference between London and Sydney can be either 9, 10 or 11 hours depending on the time of year! There is no point in my opinion if a world watch cannot allow for some sort of DST setting. Only other way is to get a GPS or a radio I guess. Watch looks good and thanks for the review.

It's funny when a watch expert doesn't know how to properly wear a watch on the wrist. The crown poking into the flesh of the back of your hand when angling the hand up is a no-go.
@GaiusSoranus3 жыл бұрын
Its funny you think there is a 'proper' way to wear a watch. Having the crown poke into the body of the hand is, well, uncomfortable, but doesn't mean it's incorrect. Depending on the size of the watch/diameter, shape, length of bracelet/strap, fitting of the bracelet/strap, and size of the wrist, all dictate how the watch will wear on one's wrist. I know for a fact, I have watches that fit perfectly, however I have a titanium eco drive with two micro-adjustments that don't allow me to find the perfect fit, so I'm either left with it being too tight, and pushing the crown into my hand uncomfortably, like you say, or it's too loose, and it slides down to the base of my forearm. So tell me... Which one is right then? And what if there's no perfect in between because of all the factors I mentioned? And what about those watch lovers that wear it super loose, where it drops half way down to their elbow, are they wrong too?
