Everyone is going to run Mavuika with a hydro unit obviously to vape her ridiculous charged attacks and "if" Citlali can cover the shielder/sustainer slot while also applying cryo app for the occasional melts while also buffing DMG with the cinder city set and potentially buffing EM and adding additional DMG via c1 and c2 assuming someone goes for those. Maybe I'm just spacing on an obvious team for Citlali but nothing is coming to mind as an obvious place you would put her with her weird stipulation of synergizing with Pyro and Hydro. Maybe a Shenhe Freeze team but she doesn't even shred cyro so i don't see her being a replacement for an anemo unit with VV in that team.

@@luminous3558 No, OP is correct in saying the current state of cryo is very defense focused. There's a lot of defensive aspects in characters kits like Diona, Layla, Citlali, Ganyu, Charlotte, Qiqi, and Mika. And more characters who can abuse Freeze or prefer to be in a freeze team like Freminet, Ganyu, Ayaka, Shenhe, Kaeya, and to some extent Rosaria. It really just leaves a few characters who don't fit in like Chongyun, Eula, and Wriothesley who can use freeze but really prefers melt. The element's best reaction by far is Freeze with it's only limitation being bosses(apart from the Liyue horse) which cannot be frozen and a few enemies(like consecrated beasts) who have resistance to freeze but still let you heavily benefit from freezing them.

Hyperbloom is just way too overturned, and Nilou Bloom as well is insanely strong. Quickbloom is also fantastic in its own right. And now we have Kinich and Emilie who benefit from Burning, so the only place where Dendro is lacking is Burgeon and pure Quicken. Burgeon was kinda doomed from the start just because Nilou Bloom exists. And pure Quicken only lacks a support that makes the reaction on its own better than Quick bloom. If it gets that, then it's set.

I don't have the strongest Gaming, Furina, Bennett, Xianyun combination, and I'm not striving for it at the moment. I like Citlali. Her shield will give me an easier time with Serpent Spine on Gaming and let the attacks in between the jumps shatter with this patch's upgraded multiplier of 3x (Bennett is not C6). The cooldown of her skill also suits Gaming.

Unlikely to be a good a pyro melt enabler. They would have to give her soo much off field application to enable the ability to consistently melt pyro and it would also be broken as forward melt is significantly stronger then reverse melt. Most likely Citlali just ends up melting her own damage which isn't even that great to begin with. This is the same reason why there is has been a pyro off field applicator that could enable forward vaping. Imagine how strong all the hydro units would be if they could forward vape. Hell they had to create Mualani with extremely slow attacks designed entirely around forward vaping and she is arguably one of the best DPS in the game even when they tried to balance around it.

Cinder City Citlali + Petra Xilonen is something that should be brought up a bit more. That's 75% elemental dmg bonus for Pyro, 40% for Cryo and 35% for Geo in Mavuika+Citlali+Xilonen. Geo is mostly ignorable, Cryo is nice as she deals some off-field, but massively buffing Mavuika is fantastic. Not to mention Cinder City Citlali is better for versatility, as you can run Chasca+Mavuika+Citlali+Hydro/Pyro/Cryo filler, thus buffing Chasca as well.

She was the character I was looking forward to, but this kit doesn't really interest me. I don't care much for freeze, and melt? Yeah, I could use her with my Yoimiya, but I'll be honest, what that means is I won't use her, because I don't use Yoimiya. Overall, she has a weak shield and an encouraged team building restriction, and seems a lot like yet another Naltan off-fielder for whom a big chunk of the value comes from "can fully utilize Scroll set", with the added bonus "get her signature weapon, please". 5.3 looks like a pretty bad patch, overall. Motorcycle lameness, meh pyro Traveler, and this uninteresting kit. Most interesting thing about it now is the new four star.

My guess is she’s more of an upgrade over Zhongli in vape. Since she buffs hydro and pyro, the best teams I can come up with for her are vape teams. So Arlecchino or Mualani. And she’ll enable occasional melts on vape teams. Along with 20% res shred and cinder city 40% damage buff. So slightly weaker than Kkazuha/Xilonen, but somewhat stronger than Zhongli for your damage. I REALLY hope they buff her shield though, bc it’s VERY weak rn. I do like that her cryo application when combined with Kaeya would let you do consistent arlecchino forward melt though. I don’t expect it to be as good as Arlecchino’s best vape teams, but it is still an actually decent option now. (Assuming Citlali does have semi-decent cryo application, like leaks say.)

I would not be surprised if Citlali becomes a standard character unit if Hoyo decides to add in a Natlan unit that shields for newcomers. She plays like a better Layla, but is generally a weaker Zhongli with a less durable shield and a more limited elemental shred that requires more work to activate overall. Being a catalyst user is the only really unique thing besides the nightsoul stuff to make use of cinder city artifact set, which saves her as a useful unit. Would definitely fit the standard banner being a 5 star shielder that the current standard banner is lacking and wont upset the standard banner's current power levels.

I'd wanted a second zhongli for like maybe a year or since i got neuvi on his rerun, during these scenario; when i run Alhaitham, nahida fischl, I want shielder cuz haitham getting interrupted is very terrible, and i hated playing yelan kuki with him, while needing zhongli for neuvi on the second side, so i ended up not playing ALHAITHAM(accidental all caps but I like it) ; when zazajef talked abt neuvi Furina xilonen zhongli team losing one neuvi stack, i thought of needing shielder of another element; also i remembered i forgot the most important premise, ZHONGLI'S SHIELD STRENGTH AND UPTIME AND COOLDOWN ! ! ! all those 4 star got small s shield and short s uptime, and not geo, missing out on general 150% shield strength, and on mobile potato, those uptime is short AF ! man i really hoped she was the driver for cryo reactions, i saw what her skill did visually and i assumed "no way, consistent cryo app over a long period of time on a skill?? say it aint so!". im with zajef on this one, her passive should shred cryo and electro (i am 1000% sure this doesn't make her busted, it just makers her more flexible)

Ok, so I thought she was cryo buffer or something. Good yo know, this makes her easier to skip than before. I don’t have arlecchino or any natlan units besides free kachina, I want chasca but I still wouldn’t pull citlali for 2 percent extra damage lol. It’s settled, depending on my chasca pulls I’ll go all in on shenhe. I plan on skipping mauvika too as I’m not impressed with her at all, so that’s more pulls to save. Ty for the info!

She shreds hydro res on freeze, hmm... Neuvi freeze comp?? Her EM would be useless in freeze though, other than her shield. Would've been nice if EM has an effect on freeze, like increasing freeze duration.

Interesting. I was expecting a lot because one of jstern's titles was basically just "citlali is broken"; a bit disappointed. She definitely seems strong, but not really broken.

She remind me of Kokomi and Baizhu. Characters that only get better with new characters or added mechanics. Shes good but not outstanding but can improve with time.

@@mattgriffin0231 c0 Citlali isnt that good. Xilonen gives 36 shred and cinder city+healing to all PHEC elements. Meanwhile Citlali can only shred 20 and its locked to hydro and pyro. She has shield instead of healing. She is still decent but she is worse and more limited in teams than Xilonen. But her c1 and c2 makes her a lot stronger. (still locked to pyro and hydro teams but she is a little better than c2 Xilonen for those teams if you are melting/vaping)
