i drive one of these to and from work, great little car, no road tax, £20 on petrol a month, cheap insurance etc, except for storage (almost no boot space, no closable glove compartment etc) it's a fantastic little car, especially if your just driving yourself around.

You can buy a flap to cover your glovebox on eBay for approximately £30

I bought a C1 used a few years back. I wanted manual roll up/down windown (no electronics), just air conditioning and a cd player were all I wanted as luxury items. I finally located one. I love my little C1. He doesn't like hills but he is very spacious inside for a small car. Even my tall 193cm son fits in the driver's seat with no problems. I have even been able to lower the back seat then lower the front seat and fit a 3 meter long flat box from IKEA in my little C1. Cheap car that will get you where you need to go.

c1 was my first car until I crashed it, great fun gunning it down country lanes but boy is it loud on the motorway, now drive a corolla which is a great upgrade, but I do still miss my c1 in a weird way, has a real charm to it.

I ran the Aygo version of the C1 for a week. ( insurance co. gave me it while my own car was being sorted ). I enjoyed it, loved the 3 cylinder sound. No complaints about the steering. When I drove a distant on a fastish, undulating, dual carriageway..., the A303, at speeds showing an indicated 75+..., the noise levels did become a bit wearing, and the lateral pitching when going over a rut at those sort of speeds was disconcerting. A heavier car, with longer wheelbase would have taken that in its stride. However, overall , I enjoyed it. Really, though the Aygo, C1, 107 may constantly be referred to by reviewers as a 'town car'. .., the fact is that loads of them are quite straightforwardly the everyday out and about, all over the place, cars for their owners. Cheap, reliable, and mostly rather fun. What's not to like ?

I bought my C1 from New in 2010 and still have it that is how good it is, it is fantastic on long journeys, great on fuel and running costs are low, also I can get a bulk bag of grass in the back with the seats down and have had a wheelbarrow in there before, I certainly recommend it a great car :-)

@@Bladebreak3r it has done very well, obviously u get wear and tear on all cars ! Leaking brake lights? Thats a no then ! I had to have the heater replaced and obviously tyres! I do get it serviced and do recommend that but very cheap to run and tax is low! But like I say all cars have wear and tear as they get older and when used!

As a cheap simple city car. Is quite right on the money. The 4 door version is by far more practical and not so much more expensive. Of course missing a few "luxury" things like you noticed the extra timer for the light circuit cost money, so cut. Sound insulation cost money, cut. But in other markets you can get those small details. Along with diesel options, A/C, electric windows, central locking, etc. All in all an excellent tiny car that fits perfectly the why & what it was built for. :-)

I've just been getting an Aygo, I've had a ton of cars, so I don't really get this first car business. A lot of what you say is right, it's no frills, but that's part of the charm and fun. It's by no means the worst car I've drove on the motorway. Every car has it's downside.

actually 4 doors is one of most spacious inside of all small cars, and quite very economical.. and the plastic inside is not of the hardest as in some other 'higher' class cars.. driving of this car is as easy as driving some toy ;)

Citröen c1 rythm is my first car in my life. I am 190cm tall. It is okey in the city. When I have longer journey I have to stop aftwr 3 hours because of my bqck pain. I slipped disc. It is a very good car. I recommand for everyone.

Dont rly need a rev counter tbh .. i drive without one by listening to the engine instead .. makes you a better driver not relying on looking down at your revs all the time ... also the higher spec versions of the C1 do have rev counters but again you can learn to drive without :)
