Adaptive cornering light was an option in my parents 2008 Audi when they bought it and that was a 40k car. Air ride is an option in many Mercedes from the same time. And the rest is just standard stuff

Не сильно за ней слежу, езжу по полям и по городу, стоит на улице. Никакой ржавчины, все работает при минимальном ТО. Её одногодки из АвтоТаза давно сгнили в памяти владельцев, а современные тачки за 5 лет уже голову делать начинают.

La Citroën SM a été développée en collaboration avec maseratti une mécanique formidable entouré du savoir-faire Citroën au niveau finition et confort. La suspension hydraulique et très confortable elle a été monté sur la DS/SM/CX/GS/GSA c’était une prouesse formidable il y avait trois positions basse / normal/ et haute ce qui permettait de passer partout. La SM a été la voiture présidentielle en France sous Jacques Chirac. La CX a été pendant très longtemps la voiture ayant le meilleur CX ( coefficient de pénétration dans l’air) d’où son nom CX Citroën était vraiment en avance sur son temps avec toutes ses innovations

@@AbrutissementTV n'importe quoi, la suspension hydraupneumatique a été utilisée par Citroën de 1954 (traction 15/6H) puis 1955 (DS), à 2016 (C5), j'ai eu une CX de 1976 et n'avais jamais eu de soucis avec la suspension, qui surclassait largement tout ce qui existait à l'époque, ce n'est pas pour rien que Mercedes Benz l'a imitée de 1975 (450SEL 6,9L) à 1988 (560SEL), toujours encore utilisée de nos jours sur ses suspensions pilotées, tout comme Rolls Royce de 1965 (Silver Shadow) a 1998 (Silver spirit)...

Over engineering will make your car too expensive and impossible to work on. Some of this stuff is cool, but there’s a reason it fails. Cars should focus on working well and efficiently at that, not gimmicks. Not to say that most car companies don’t scam people, there was a patent out there for carburetors that could massively improve fuel economy. It was bought and thrown into the shadow realm, now there’s videos of a guy getting 40+ mpg out of a 302 v8 like it’s nothing with a lawnmower carb. Basically what I’m saying is that if they really wanted too they could easily get way better gas mileage and service costs than they do, instead we get gimmicks and worse mileage than a corrola from the 70s.

(Alexander Spoerl in "Auto, Motor und Sport" - German car magazine - about the new Citroën DS in 1955) The Citroën SM came out in 1970. It took it again to a level other companies never reached even details of it until 30 years passed by. The only car I know today with a better steering is the Tesla Cybertruck. The SM had just one turn around from straight to left or right. At the cybertruck now it depends on the speed. At the parking spot the turn of the steering wheel is direct like a go-kart. At the motorway much more way to turn. But this is just possible, because the steering wheel in a Cybertruck just sends data signals to an electric steering engine. With a mechanical steering such thing is impossible. So if someone drove the Citroën SM the first time thought about the need to go to driving school again. But after 15 minutes to one hour driving it became the best car on earth. Highly comfortable, powerful, safe and effortless to steer, because everything just did need to be petted to do the job needed.

Just noticed the little sliding centre console panel is exactly the same as the one in my mothers 2014 C4. She loned it to me for 3 mths. Nice car. All let down by a computer controlled manual gear box with no clutch pedal. And the most sensitive brakes I've ever encountered.

Ситроен всегда креативили, в том числе и с расположением управления или какими то узлами и приборами, как то релюшку искали, когда не было интернета, не нашли, переделали проводку и новое реле поставили, но потом старое нашли в багажнике под обшивкой, когда провода тянули))))))

There were a few hydropneumatic citroens where I grew up. They were not this exact type, but most were CX Pallas and one or two XMs. Everything about the Pallas was way ahead of it's time. Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories.

Si que eran lindos e innovadores los carros de Citroen tanto el DS (Desse o Diosa en Francés) de los 60's como su sucesor el SM de los 70's los cuales ofrecian opciones de lujo y conveniencia como su famosa suspensión hidroneumatica el cual con una sencilla palanca podias subir la altura para calles irregulares como bajarla tanto para subir o bajar del carro (Sobretodo para las damas con vestidos muy ajustados), las luces orientables a la direccion del carro e incluso dirección auto orientable...coneniencias que ni siquiera los estirados Británicos de Rolls Royce o los encopetados Americanos ni siqiera los tenían...tanto que hasta este ejemplar viene equipado con un autoradio Sony para CD's con entrada USB y conección Bluetooth...CON CONCUENTA AÑOS DE ANTICIPO!!!...Ja!...
