My personal observation - the Basalt looks better proportioned than the Tata Curv especially in the rear section. It is just too raised in the Curv. The Basalt gives a much better stance.

@@fk838 I have the max turbo manual Getting around 12 kmpl in city On highway you can get more than 18 Although it can increase or decrease based on your driving style

Very true. Beats me why Stellantis scores own goals. They have a totally indegeous car and giving these not so.important features and better intetiors when they own 14brands is not beyond them at all. I drive C3 on very bad roads and it's performance is outstanding for its price point.

Test drove the Basalt. It has good driving characteristics. But my only challenge with Citroen is it's service center. It is about 30km from my home. If only they get one closer soon.

Not worth driving in Mumbai's peak traffic-riddled area, especially when all of its rivals are within 10km. Taking 2 hours to reach that distance, not worth. Anyways, Citroen is planning one in my city Thane next year. So worth the wait for me.

@@dieselpreetsingh9544 nahi hai na Citroen ka service for pick and drop. Checked with them. Sab in progress hai, they are yet to establish themselves here. Also I liked the sibling part😅. But unfortunately I don't have any. Long service interval ke wajeh se I'm holding on to my 2015 Polo. Touchwood, she is running like new even after 9 years. Mann nahi karta bechne ka. But next year will have to get a new one. Gharwalo ki demand hai, since arrival of my Daughter. That's why on a test drive spree.

It is a super engineering - specially their suspension and the turbo 1.2 engine. What would make it GREAT if they offered a more powerful engine as an option e.g. 1.5 Turbo... that would be an unbeatable car. Similarly we see a strong brand like Honda City and they are reluctant to bring in their RS version in India

All that hyperbolic accolades thrown at the public for the Basalt will NOT hide it's missing features. It's not a 'Trial By Fire' but 'Lets Fool The People' promo promotion by the Company. Good attempt though.

They dont produce their legendary hydropneumatic suspension anymore. The current cars use the normal suspension system that any other car in that price range uses. Stop misleading with the suspension hype.

Its doubt about how basalt will be on highways especially fully loaded with passenger and with great boot loaded with luggage which one of the biggest boot in this segment i think 1.2 turbo is not that enough.

Sunroof is the worse feature which Indians are crazy about. It makes the car heavy on top instead of low centre of gravity. The sunroof has leakage issues and can crack and cost lakhs to repair.

"roads are not perfect in India" - high time that presenters should present factual statements rather than generalizations. roads have markedly improved in India. For someone who drives for a living must acknowledge this.

Factual statement 1: We drove 3300km from Pune to Jaisalmer and back Factual statement 2: We saw some of the worst highway stretches between Mumbai to Ahmedabad - an incredibly important corridor and part of the Golden Quadrilateral. Factual statement 3: The roads were bad enough to rip out the underside of the car if you didn't slow down. On a national highway with a 80-100kmph speed limit. And all this was on just this drive. I invite you to visit Pune, where we're based out of and see the conditions of roads here. Defending our crumbling infrastructure and not holding the people who are responsible accountable just emboldens them to keep giving us bad roads. So yes, my generalisations were based in fact.

@aatish_mishra still a generalization to say roads not good in India, when you'd actually cover 3300kms out of an entire NHAI highway network of 1,40,000+ kms all over India. Secondly, we have a strong social media community and they take the govt. accountable on every aspect. Just that you are an influencer, your statements have to be specific - you cannot get fed up of driving on bad roads covering 3 states and put out - damn roads are bad in India. @@lob115 Been driving for 12 years, driven in almost every state in the country. Also have driven abroad, so I know what is possible in terms of road infrastructure. Our network is incredibly vast, which is something to be proud of, but also substandard. I hope my words are taken seriously because things need to change. Badly.
