Great video! I bought a well cared for 2008 107 last year and I had no idea how simple it is to upgrade/personalize/fix most of the car. It's a true amateurs' friend this platform of triplets and it's a real shame that today's cars have lost this level of simplicity and the ease of fixability and maintenance! 💗

@@mec-tecYep, it seems like the car helps us by itself by being so simple! I also noticed that you mentioned the problem of losing the radio presets when turning the car off. This also happened to my stereo when I bought the car. Didn't know it is a common problem and didn't know where to trace any fault in the system, so I went to a car stereo store and they solved it for me by switching the wires, just like you did. Only problem is because it's an aftermarket unit (a Kenwood unit, factory-specced, as a part of the Urban Move edition) it doesn't match the interior design, so I'm looking for the original factory stereo. I don't turn the stereo on anyway because the 3-cylinder sound is more to my liking, so I don't care if I actually downgrade the stereo! 😜

They are a wicked car. We had one as a hire car when we were in England many years ago and it was epic, no power but huge fun to drive. Cars now have completely lost that.

Totally agree mate, they are great fun and u can uae 100% of the power all the time 🤣👍👍

@@mec-tec Well I'm not sure about 100% all the time. In the wet off the line it often goes almost nowhere as it just spends it's time spinning the wheels! 😂

Nice video mate, as all the rest videos about this little C1...I have an Aygo and I was wondering to suggest you to try to make the passenger sit to light the cabin light when you open it. That would be useful! 😉

The speakers will probably improve after they loosen up a little. Playing some loud bass music will help.

Hi Mec , im planning to put some 6x9 speakers in the parcel tray how would the wiring be done? Any tips will i need to tap in the head unit i have a sony aftermarket 1 .
@mec-tec2 ай бұрын
Hi mate, sounds like a plan, its easy to pop the trims off along the sills to run the cables under and from the headunit you can thread the cables under the dash without taking anything apart from memory, good luck with the install 👍👍👍

@mec-tec9 ай бұрын
Hi mate, as far as i know there isnt a serviceable fuel filter, the c1 uses an in tank gauze filter which shouldnt ever need changing, hope this helps 👍
