I am stuggling with removing the number plate bulb. Ive removed th3 plastic cover but i cannot for the life of me fit my fingers enough to pull it out. I see in your video you strugglef a bit then cut to the part where it was almost vertical. How did you do that

So at 2:35 the bulb is horizontal and at 2:38 it's pointing downwards. Did you flip it down? is there a release mechanism to do this? I am here because I tried removing mine while it was horizontal but couldn't do it, before I go and try to force it down it'd be nice to know if there's a secret there

It did allow me to flip it down, I can’t recall if there was a mechanism as such but it definitely wasn’t broken afterwards.

Hi, Case we use led bulbs instead or do we need to make any electric change to be led compatible?

You’ll need to get “canbus error free” bulbs but there aren’t many out there that are very reliable

Very well explained, thank you! I'm thinking of changing them all for LED's due to their supposed longer life. Would you agree with that or do you think it's best to stick with classic halogens?

I suppose it depends where you’re getting them from, I’ve tried to use cheap LED bulbs many times but they so often have issues where they flicker and fail too early. If you’re planning to fit some decent branded ones then you shouldn’t have any issues.

@@IAMASPANNER Thanks for your reply. In your opinion, do LED's have a genuine advantage over halogens in terms of brightness and, if you think they do, what would you consider to be a decent brand? I ask that because in my home I used Philips LED's due to their so-called 7 yr guarantee and they didn't last more than 3 years. Guarantee? Who keeps their receipts that long?

@@PBCaurillac I don’t think the reliability is there for many brands other than the genuine manufacturer items that come fitted to the car as fully sealed light units. I don’t know why they’re so poor but I’ve not had any joy with aftermarket LED bulbs at all.

Well done mate you forgot the most important bulbs which is the third brake light he didn’t manage to them now did you

I think they’re LED so they aren’t a serviceable part. I’ve never included third brake lights in my videos as usually the whole fitting needs replacing and it’s rare they fail completely.

@@IAMASPANNER Hi mate I’ve had a bit of a an update since I last email basically the third brake light has four tiny little bulbs in it like the same ones that are for the car at the front the little parking lights you know the ones I’m on about go about the size of the tip of your little finger I don’t know what the name of it is I’m not an engineer feel free to laugh....... basically what happens is to change those you have to remove the third brake light but don’t do what I did basically while trying to remove it I smashed the thing and that red glass is like a razor sharp end up looking as if I’ve been in the bear knuckle fight consequently after a lot of swearing and a lot of blood I had to replace the whole thing because they’re very difficult to get out so basically let a garage do it it will save your knuckles and it will deafly save you losing a lot of blood and swearing.....But just to recap you can service it but it takes a lot of patience and you’ll be there for about an hour trying to remove this real light I must omit it’s I know it’s a citron and I do do some stupid things when it comes to replacing lights but this is a joke on another level it was literally jammed in there so much I had to rip it out of a screwdriver but I did get a secondhand one for 20 quid so it’s not too bad
