Citroen jumper, peugeot boxer, Fiat Ducato gearbox

In This video i try to show you how to easly change the 5th gear in your gearbox in your Ducato, Boxer or jumper. This is a 2003 2.8 jumper. Sorry for bad english, hope you understand.

what he is saying ,when he shows you the removed air box is: that you don't need to remove gear box, 1 remove air box 2 remove end gearbox cover 3 knock out gear change fort pin ( with home made punch) 4 pull off gear and repair you have just saved yourself half a days work

Great clear video. Our 2000 Ducato lost 5th gear in France, when heading home to Ireland. A long way in 4th gear! Now to tackle the problem.

Thank you Kevin. What is the part number for the 5th gear? Also, does it make sense to replace the 5th gear before I have a problem? I have a Fiat Ducato motorhome 1997. It now has 127k km on it. So far no problem with 5th gear, but I know it is an issue with the Ducato. Now I have access to inexpensive mechanics. Just 14 euro an hour. We will travel to western Europe soon for a year long trip. Mechanics there are much more expensive. Thank you- Matt

Hi Kevin, I have a Talbot with the J5 Fiat/Peugeot gearbox. The synchro rings on gears 2 and 4 need replacing. Can you do this, or recommend someone?

my gearbox is ok then goes stiff, no 1st/2nd or reverse, can select 3/4 and 5th, gear stick free to move right not left, not the linkage cables it is inside the gearbox. very annoying.

that quick-fix is only posible with the 5th gear.

+Kevin Stokke thanks for the reply, I took apart the linkage, cleaned and greased up the parts. It's all working so I will change the seal what's leaking and the oil. Thanks
