Thank you for being so generous to share your process and recipe for this and your conditioner bar. I've developed a scalp issue in the last year and am desperately looking for a product that can help. Trying to make my own product where I can control the ingredients is my goal. Your video, with descriptions of what the ingredients bring to the bar, is invaluable to me. Thank you, thank you!

@BodyHavenSoaps
@BodyHavenSoaps 2 жыл бұрын
you wouldn't have to substitute butters , think of it this way our body's produce natural oil to hydrate our skin so if someone has oily hair it is because the scalp is very dry and their body is producing more oil to compensate in turn the best way to help oily hair o to hydrate the scalp so i would look at oils for scalp hydration like avocado oil

@BodyHavenSoaps
@BodyHavenSoaps 2 жыл бұрын
An important starting point is to recognize that carrots hold between 90-92% water. And since water and oil do not mix and water is a source of potential bacterial growth, it is important to dehydrate or dry the carrots prior to infusing. I would use sunflower oil most likely and would let them infuse for a min 4 to 6 weeks . I have never tried this but this is how I would go about it I might have to try this now !!

Is it not citric acid that lowers the ph? Not stearic acid
@BodyHavenSoaps
@BodyHavenSoaps 2 жыл бұрын
Citric acid is used in cosmetics to lower ph but not used in soap to lower ph ,stearic acid has a ph of 6 on the ph scale and soap is around 9-9.5 on the ph scale and because there is no saponification taking place in this recipe ph is simple to change unlike a C/P soap where stearic acid being a fatty acid would go through saponification and only higher the supper fat in the soap . so to answer this question ph can be changed with different ingredients depending on the chemistry in the process of the product you are making There is no one ingredient that works to change ph for every product and process
