Wow, I'm really glad he kept the song pretty much the same as it was. As much as I love the new twists on songs like Hello, I'm in Delaware and Sensible Heart, this song in particular has a really youthful, angsty sound. Dallas being the magic maker he is, manages to both not lose that angsty feel, but also not come off as cheesy or overly nostalgic playing this old ass song with his highly matured voice. Love it.

It was better on the album. High pitched tone doesn't automatically equal yell. He took it down a whole octave here for the chorus... Too safe.

rick renfroe BIG disagree here. While I agree high pitched doesnt equal yelling, He is DEFINITELY yelling more than he was not yelling. And if anything the chorus of this version is higher than the chorus on the album so that arguments a little weak.
