City Chase - Hidden Movement for the Family

City Chase (2021, 2-4 Players, Korea Boardgames) is a hidden movement game with families in mind. One of the things that makes hidden movement games difficult for families, especially families with young kids, is that one player must conceal information from everyone else and both making a mistake or exposing information will completely spoil the game. City Chase fixes this by using components that make it next to impossible to mess up the hidden movement track.

Thanks for reviewing this. This might have been a good hidden movement board game choice for my almost 7yo niece, if she wasn't already enjoying Sonar Family. Family edition of Sonar is not complex, and not too long, for young mind like hers to grasp and have fun with. And it very nicely, and effectively, implements those same hidden movement and searching for opponent's location aspects as these games you mentioned. It is also very scalable on what young kid wants or is required to track and do during each of the playthroughs, cause it plays in teams so an adult can take over anything kid has problens with or can help the kid on the spot at any time. And team tasks are not complicated so a single person can do both jobs which usually two persons are meant to split between them, or even 3 persons can colaborate on the same team. So the game also scales superbly over any number of player counts from 2 to 6 I would say, no matter if there are even or odd number of players. Sonar Family is engaging fun interesting and smart (can be made challenging) but not difficult nor long hidden movement game for family environment with all kinds and mixes of ages(including the very young can be loving it to the point of themselves requesting to play it). I can't recommend it enough, as a hidden movement, deduction, and bluffing family friendly game.
