This is a thought I had recently. What if you literally went into public and started physically recording via notes and drawings. Would some dumbass person come up to you and ask "did you just sketch me into your landscape drawing?" Would public servants still assault and rob people if the person was only making notes of the servant's actions? Thank god for video recording because I'm sure state actors in the past have tried to suppress free press and transparency.

If the officer declines to do so and does no follow up then all he really did was let shawn he has the right to film, which he already knows. The cop was dismissive when he said "im not gonna do that they know their rights". Well obviously they do not sir or you would not have been called! Get that 911 call. They probably arent releasing it because she falsified a police report.

That's right when cop said "people waste time everyday" and that is what keeps him employed. Lastly, all officials and the courts love to stand behind "ignorance of the law" bs but it sure the hell doesn't apply to them.

Man that little old lady was perfect. There are multiple ways a person can approach someone. The little old lady was awesome. The black dude at the beginning of the county building could learn a lot about how to talk to people from that sweet old lady

What never fails to amaze me is when public employees immediately consider a camera a threat. They see a citizen with a camera and it becomes a security issue. They never suspect a person who's just walking through the building without a camera. Of course, that person could be planning a massive attack against the building, but because there's no camera involved, it's all good. Totally ridiculous.

This. I read a very interesting study regarding why people get "scared" or overly curious of people filming. Filming people gives off a very similar reaction in the brain as when someone is staring at you. It was a pretty small sample size so it should be taken with a grain of salt but it was an interesting concept to think about.

Everyone has been fed a diet of free range fear since 9/11 and the See Something, Say Something” fear propaganda campaign has turned people against each other, young Americans don’t know any better and most of the older ones are full of bullshit brought about by their ignorance.

Yup I seriously doubt a criminal casing a joint would draw attention to themselves by holding up a phone, especially with CCTV everywhere.
@kairu_aname2 жыл бұрын
@@jjryan1352 If you wanted to case the place it's so much easier than these guys think it is. Step 1) get a records request on who works there and their picture. Step 2) get a full layout of the building Step 3) get a full weeks worth of camera footage. All this is one foia request away. And you don't even need a camera. Just a clerk and pen.

The psychology of fear stems from 911 and other lone wolf terror attacks, bombings, mass shootings, etc... on American soil. It is forever ingraned in the public to naturally be suspicious and inquisitive... yes, in this day and age... Say a dog bites you, or you witness a dog biting someone else, you'll always remember dogs can potentially bite you. It's a psychosocial problem .

Sean, you have the patience of a saint! By the time the 2nd or 3rd person asked me the same questions, I'd be responding by holding up a Wile E. Coyote-style sign with FAQ responses on it.

I was thinking while watching 👀 that now that it's been a year of Sean doing these that he actually knows *exactly how they are going to respond, before they've even responded* & so it's all fun & games now to him. It may be new to them & they think they are all doing the right thing but they have no clue how often Sean has now dealt with the same characters over & over. Different city, same play and the curtain doesn't go down till these characters all start reading dialog from a new and better script.

I was stationed in KY in the Army. Yes the overwhelming percentage of citizens in that state are fantastic. It's just that the small number of public servants that just STILL don't get it and don't understand their role. They need to stay in their lane and realize that they are SERVANTS (and they hate that term but that is what they are). PUBLIC SERVANTS nationwide ALL act the same.
@doribellan2 жыл бұрын
@@goodcitizen6185 Yeah, I lived in the Louisville area for about ten years. Great place and I miss is tremendously. I agree with most of your statement, but disagree that all public servants nationwide don’t understand their service and that they all behave the same. There are a lot of us, even in a blue state, that understand our service, are trying to outnumber the progressive sheep/snowflakes, and are very aware of the rights of our fellow citizens. The emphasis placed on the words you used aren’t accurate. ;)
