*Update* : Unfortunately the City Of Bowling Green has not responded to my Open Records request for the 911 Call…so much for transparency. The two law enforcement officers I dealt with in this video weren’t unprofessional jerks and didn’t violate my rights so I appreciate them for that. We need to acknowledge the good LEOs and EXPOSE the tyrants! Thanks for your support everyone! Couldn’t do this without you! I truly appreciate it! 🙏🇺🇸

This is a thought I had recently. What if you literally went into public and started physically recording via notes and drawings. Would some dumbass person come up to you and ask "did you just sketch me into your landscape drawing?" Would public servants still assault and rob people if the person was only making notes of the servant's actions? Thank god for video recording because I'm sure state actors in the past have tried to suppress free press and transparency.

But then you see clips of Travis Heinze being arrested for filming in a library and convicted for disorderly and failing to ID and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Or the terrible clips from the Mesa AZ police, doing everything they can to prevent people from filming. And than I think "there is still a long way to go".

Sadly I learned last night that it's even worse than this (as bad as these are). I watched the Sanchez story (part 1 & 2) on ASD DOCS channel last night as well as the interview Andre did with Ms. Bassi and things are way, way, way worse than my worst imaginings but now I better understand the fucking machine Travis was up against even in that podunk town. He never stood a chance as most of us don't. My heart is broken 💔 for how far we have fallen from the mark.

Keep in mind that Travis Heinze was intercepted by the Natchitoches police at the moment he had porn viewable on his laptop in that Library nook. He was not arrested for filming, nor disorderly, nor failing to ID. His charge was "Resisting an officer" which was because during their investigation of his weird and suspicious behavior (including the porn displayed), the Police could not simply get him to say his name. Despite asking 6 times. In Louisiana, that is a misdemeanor crime, and it was for that violation he was arrested and convicted and sentenced to jail.

I agree. The entire point is to let these public servants know he is exercising a constitutinally protected right. If the officer declines to do so and does no follow up then all he really did was let shawn he has the right to film, which he already knows. The cop was dismissive when he said "im not gonna do that they know their rights". Well obviously they do not sir or you would not have been called! Get that 911 call. They probably arent releasing it because she falsified a police report.

What never fails to amaze me is when public employees immediately consider a camera a threat. They see a citizen with a camera and it becomes a security issue. They never suspect a person who's just walking through the building without a camera. Of course, that person could be planning a massive attack against the building, but because there's no camera involved, it's all good. Totally ridiculous.

This. I read a very interesting study regarding why people get "scared" or overly curious of people filming. Filming people gives off a very similar reaction in the brain as when someone is staring at you. It was a pretty small sample size so it should be taken with a grain of salt but it was an interesting concept to think about.

The psychology of fear stems from 911 and other lone wolf terror attacks, bombings, mass shootings, etc... on American soil. It is forever ingraned in the public to naturally be suspicious and inquisitive... yes, in this day and age... Say a dog bites you, or you witness a dog biting someone else, you'll always remember dogs can potentially bite you. It's a psychosocial problem .

It may be new to them & they think they are all doing the right thing but they have no clue how often Sean has now dealt with the same characters over & over.
