Cancer or not, Lou was a smart-mouthed jerk with a bad attitude. The least he could've done was apologize to Jamal for what he did to him throughout the episode.

I remember this episode when I was a kid. Now speaking as someone who has had cancer I can see a lot of points from what people have commented on but to be honest in the real world people deal with cancer in totally different ways. Some will be quiet and welcoming to others, others will laugh everything off and some will put up a tough front much like Lou in this episode. I also commend the writers to including the bit about the chemo and radiation treatment as a lot of shows and adverts don't talk about that side of cancer treatment and people naturally think that because you have cancer you naturally become bald. I think this episode had a good message to not jump to conclusions about a person's appearance. Though to be honest I am looking too much into TV show made for teenagers.

Jamal should have hired El-train as his lawyer, seeing as he did a fantastic job back in the first season dropping all those cookies out of his briefcase 😂 If a student has gone through chemo and radiation treatment then all school staff should have been notified about this prior to the student returning to school. Especially Miss Noble as she is the principal... The underlying message in this episode is not to judge others based on looks and appearances.

Maybe so, but along w/ the fact that this ep. also the "6th Amendment" which states that "All citizens are presumed innocent until proven guilty", they should've included the "4TH AMENDMENT", which guarantees every 1 of us FULL PROTECTION AGAINST ILLEGAL SEARCH & SEIZURE, which is EXACTLY what Al & El-Train did when they got those photos, b/c they got them out of Lou's locker w/o either his permission or a search warrant.

Technically, yes, b/c the ep. shows not just 1 amendment of the "Constitution", but 2. The 1st 1 they showed was the "6th Amendment", which states that all citizens have the right to be presumed innocent until guilty. As for what El-Train & Al did, it's in direct violation of the "4TH AMENDMENT", which prohibits unwarranted searches & seizures, b/c they didn't have either Lou's permission or a search warrant.

Good moral and all but...having a chronic and possibly deadly illness doesn't give you the right to be a prick to other people. I have several chronic illnesses that make me feel like shit a lot of the time; I know how much it sucks. That doesn't give you a "be a douche and still get sympathy" card.

Well, maybe he did or maybe he didn't. Unfortunately, there was no physical evidence to prove it. And if there's 1 thing I'll NEVER tolerate, it's accusing somebody of a crime, just b/c he looks a certain way or anything else of the like. I got to be honest, as much as I like Jamal , he was being the Jerk in this one. the moral of the story is you can't judge a book by its cover. just because the white guy is balled doesn't make him a skinhead and he may be a cancer patient

And Jamal & Chris weren't the only "Jerks" in this ep. Al & El-Train kinda were, too, b/c of what they did -- particularly taking those pics of Lou's friends from his locker W/O probable cause, b/c the "4th Amendment" of the Constitution protects us all from ILLEGAL SEARCH & SEIZURE.

Don’t get me wrong, Jamal was no saint, but neither was Lou. Sick or not, he didn’t have to diss Dawn when she tried to be friendly to him and before that, he bumped into Jamal and didn’t say excuse me. Notice how they never found out whether or not Lou was guilty of tagging Jamal’s locker. They tried to make Jamal out to be the bad guy when Lou was just as guilty!
