So excited "Angel" has finally come to KZbin. Allen Francis Doyle is played by Glenn Quinn. From 1990 to 1997 he played Becky's boyfriend then husband in 74 episodes of "Roseanne". In 1999 he stared in "Angel". Sadly Glenn passed away in 2002 at the age of 32 from a drug overdose. R.I.P. Glenn We still miss you.

On the off chance no one told ya'll yet: Doyle was supposed to be Whistler, the guy they showed in a Buffy season two flashback who pulled Angel out of his slump by showing him Buffy You also saw Whistler talk to Buffy in the season two finale. They couldn't get the actor back for the Angel series so they went with Glenn Quinn's (RIP) Doyle. Quinn couldn't beat his own real life demons which, as you know by now, leads to one of the best not originally planned character arcs of the Buffyverse.

Originally, Angel was supposed to feed on the woman who he failed to save in the premiere, but the network (the WB at the time) thought it would be too dark. They ended up having to cut it out. I liked the original idea as it shows he always has to be cognizant of his hunger. Just because he’s the good vampire doesn’t mean that he isn’t still a vampire. Makes the metaphor to alcoholism stronger.

Then she's the blonde in a short-lived vampire as a detective series that replaced "Angel" when "Angel" ended, but the writers wanted to keep going, so they retooled "Angel"! The lead actor went on to star in the updated "Hawaii 5-O" in which Spike's actor was a guest "big bad"! I pretended it was their respective vampires fighting! Elizabeth gets her breasts shot in "The Last Ship"! 😮 (Who is attaching squibs to breasts? 🤔 ) I'm not sure where I've seen her since then. 🤷‍♂️

Yay! I'm so glad you're posting these here. It takes a while to really find its feet, but I think I actually prefer Angel to Buffy overall. So many awesome moments I can't wait to see your reactions to. I don't know why they did the weird thing with the vampire makeup in the first episode. Something to do with the lighting, maybe, or just trying to change things up. Thankfully, sanity prevailed because it did not look great. Even Josh Holloway couldn't really make it work lol.

Season 5 of Angel was may favourite of all The Buffyverse Seasons, especially the closing episodes of the show which were imperious.

I watched Charmed all the time as a kid, but I gotta be honest, it's NOT a good show lmao. It's charming (ha) and camp, but it's pretty badly acted and very badly written, and the black and white morals are so on the nose, it always makes me laugh when their 'evil' versions are just men with long hair wearing leather or women with short hair wearing leather. Leather and gender non-conformity means evil, obviously! I do have an odd fondness for it regardless though lmao
