I have Been waiting for this moment for almost half a decade cannot wait to explore Newisle once again especially my favourite town of Grand Tree!!🎉🎉

Meanwhile in my newisle a lot has changed. Shopping centre at redbridge. Shopping mall at Greenwich. I built a pedestrian plaza over waterfront. Building a casino next door wave market but I did preserve that wooden historic building. The casino tower will be taller than Halycyon tower when done. Built newisles first ikea where the cinema was at riverdale. Planning another one for Rockwood and also in the northeast of newisle. Added line U8. Extended Line U6 to Highfield and U4 to Highfield, so they are now one line. Also sent line U7 there. It’s a big development going on there. Demolished the Mt pleasant hospital and rebuilt it bigger. Upgrade to Union station. The dome is gone and replaced with skyscrapers above it. New underground concourse and the main entrance is now from Halycyon and station street. The old tower still exists though. Built a stadium by the waterfront but I did preserve some heritage facade. Building a new rail line from Rockwood to tumbleweed to bypass newisle city. Been developing northeast newisle and am building surburbia. Built a road tunnel from Highway 3, under the river to flow into halycyon street and Fremont street. There is also a connection between centre Avenue bridge and halycyon street and I also have tunnel linking Highway 1 to Highway 3 that goes under Highfield. That entire cluster is called the EastLINK tunnels. Working on a bypass route from Highway 3 at port Redpath to Rockwood using prebuilt tunnels I discovered and extending them northward. Started building an airport in roughly the same location as yours in this update. Planning on extending Line S3 all the way there via the new developments. Also planning a dedicated Airport Express line. Elspeth park has been turned into a Disneyland. I am upgrading the castle centre station because it’s ugly.

Can i just say, that from the looks of it, and being a bedrock player with no modding capabilities 😭 this has got to be the easiest £6 ive ever spent on a map, most city maps nowadays have no personality or secrets or anything! But this is definitely up with Noxcrew's: city living maps and everbloom's: city mash up! Its truly awe inspiring! Cant wait to play well done! Finally some creativity in the marketplace!

​@@BlipNoir You deserve it! The map is 110% as much content as I expected its fantastic! I have 2 Questions though, ang if the answers are "no" to both of them that is completely fine! 1:Why were the interiors of the skyscrapers removed, are they going to come back in a future update and 2: do you plan on updating the map with future versions. But if its "no" to both of those, again that is fine the map is still amazing without those which is a credit to the content of the map itself!

@@corywilson4840 A number of returning players have asked me about the filled in skyscrapers and it was done to address the rampant lag from past versions. Furnishing in buildings over 5 stories tall caused a lot of performance issues, even on my own computer, so I did away with those and most of the entities to make sure Newisle ran well on every device. So, unfortunately I can't put them back in without the game playing like a slideshow. It's partly why open world games just don't do 100% decorated interiors. And there won't be a v1.4 but I may add little bits of additional content if I have time in the future.

Just hop on Minecraft, log in and the update should begin to download automatically. All those skyscrapers, and a couple new little bits of content, are now fully explorable. :)

Something I definetly would like is a full newisle metro map. The new isle metro is a huge system but sometimes I just don't know where I'm going. Maybe consider releasing it as an image in Planet Minecraft?

Not in 100% of the chests but all the shops are stocked. Many of the homes and apartments also have the odd couple of items here and there, too.

Why did you fill the buildings with sand if in previous versions they had interiors?

To optimize the performance of the map. The downtowns of each of those cities are frame rate killers on devices with lower specs and even on my own laptop. Interiors and entities were the main cause of the awful performance, so I removed the interiors in all buildings above 5 stories, as well as things like products on the shelves of each store, in v1.3. This has significantly improved performance for all players and most of the 750+ buildings across the map are still fully furnished, including every town outside of Newisle and Rockwood. That said, I've released an update for those that play on Java Edition that want the interiors back (a lot of fans said they did) and the people that bought the map on the Marketplace will get access to that update shortly, too.

@@corywilson4840 The update should be out this month as long as Mojang doesn't find some reason to not let it through QA. It's with them right now, so I have my fingers and toes crossed all is good to go. Once the update is available on the Marketplace players will get a prompt when they log on. Anyone with the old optimized version of the map can decline it and keep playing that if they wish but the addition of the interiors (plus a brand new Halcyon Tower complex) shouldn't have a negative impact on the gameplay. On the contrary, it should breathe a lot of new life into downtown Newisle and Rockwood.

I spent a lot of time playing with friends on version 1.2 and I'm glad you didn't give up on this project. I would be interested in which version of the map is intended for.

I spent a ton of time optimizing it to make sure players on Bedrock and Java get more or less the same experience. I think every player will be happy with the latest version if they've enjoyed past versions.
