City of WHITE ROCK BC Canada | Tourist Attraction, the PIER

The 470-metre-long White Rock Pier is a tourist attraction in White Rock BC Canada, and is a destination filled with family memories, walks on the beach and fish and chips (don't forget ice cream or gelato in summer).
This unique wood construction was built in 1914 and it was a dock for steamships that arrived when the Great Northern Railway began, and it underwent restoration in 1977. In December 2018, it was torn in half during a winter storm and was repaired in time for a summer reopening in 2019.
