Our first overnight trip away from our little guy. I got to take Ryan back to my old city for a concert, good food, and to show him where I used to live and hangout. I ended the vlog with a requested Q&A about the transition of life then in the city vs. life now in the countryside.

Woahhh I did not expect the clip of you and Larissa in that apartment a few years ago to make me as emotional as it did hahaha 😭 This video made me realize that I have been watching your channel for *six* years now! I frequently tear up watching your videos just because I am so proud of you and your evolution. I know a lot of people have said this before, but you definitely feel like my internet big sister! I've been watching your videos for gosh....maybe a solid 8yrs and there is something about you being out in the country that makes your videos feel like you are really living your most happy, freeing and best self❤ I like your system for groceries and would love a video breaking down how you go through what you need and want. I've been trying to break my shopping into 2x a week bc it does make sense for my schedule, I just haven't been successful with it.

The nostalgia I got from seeing your old apartment, really got me in my feels🥲 I am so grateful that I stumbled upon your youtube channel in 2017. I have looked up to you since, and grown up with you by my side (even though you don't know me, you truly feel like a big sister to me). That throwback clip really made me so emotional. I was reminded of exactly where I was in life at that moment while I was watching you live your single-girl-in-the-city life, trying to figure it all out (much like me). It's strange isn't it, through these years, we haven't had direct deep conversations about our lives but it really doesn't feel like a parasocial relationship. It feels as though I have lived those moments with you, like I was right there. And at the same time, felt a sense of your presence and support in my life just by me watching your videos that are so real and raw. I hope you know how much that means to your followers, especially in a time where finding honest creators is so rare. it's crazy how time goes fast because I remember your vlog when you were living in Toronto and I loved so much!! :) I been for the first time in Toronto last summer and I'm living in Montreal it's totally a different world, i feel like it! So funny I used to live in the same condo building as you but from 2011~2014 (90 S). I had known u lived there so had always wondered if I would bump into you nearby. I lived on the 8th floor facing the water…such a nice area to be in. Thanks for giving your perspective on city & country life. Love you❤️

I miss you soo much and im def still here sometimes im just so behind on watching your content soemtimes. I always love you and you have truly influenced my life to where I am now. I found you at my worst and you picked me up. I moved to the city and I love my Nashville, its just too busy with the city lifestyle and my bridge to full time creator but its so worth it kalyn. you pushed me here ...thank you!! its all unfolding and im glad I did it. I know Nashville isn't my forever ... I actually want to move to Langley, B.C next with a family. I plan to be jumping back and forth one day. you will forever be my favorite and I love how you influenced people to be their authentic self. im so proud of you and I will be back in both your memberships soon

I come from a small town and moved to the city and your quote about living in a small town and visiting the city vs the opposite I agree. Maybe it's because my home town always felt like home but my husband (from the same town) and I always hated Leaving and going back to the city and Much prefer to visit the city and come home. more so because we are always going the opposite way of terrible traffic haha. I don't think it's as weird as i have also moved... but I used to live across the way from you and I always wanted to say hi but was way too shy and/or thought it would be to weird but I have been following you for around 12 years (now) but I fan girl'ed when I noticed you walking Bentley one day... I also just wanted to say I'm so happy for you and watching how much you've grown and have handled life and how grounded and happy you seem now :) Just so happy for you!

I know what you mean. My family moved to a different state and we stayed in Colorado. Our careers are here. I went back to my childhood house. the current owner was nice enough to give me a tour. I felt like I got to say goodbye.

Btw I don't think Starbucks' lavendar is dairy free. I remember it going around and I think I saw it on a sign. Why is it not dairy free? I don't know, but I've been cautious to try it.

I have a question or more of a wonder. I hope you see it. Have you had any difficulty to adapt with your single friends after having a family? I feel I got so distant from that one friend whom I really adore, but everything has changed for me, my thoughts and ideas on life, my interests, and so. I wish I could meet with her more often and find like common grounds or interests to share and enjoy together. And this vlog was so wholesome ❤ 😢 idk why but my heart ached a little bit going through your past and seeing those flashbacks of you with larisa and the old apartment. I wish you all the very best ❤❤❤

I wouldn’t say it requires adaptation, just more so grace and understanding from both ends of a friendship! Through different seasons, life requires different things from us and I think a true test of friendship is being able to ride the waves together, even if it means you just stay in touch here and there or see each other a bit less often, but know you could call on that friend and they’d be your shoulder or emergency contact in a heartbeat. *and vice versa!! I sometimes feel guilty that this stage of life requires so much damn energy, attention and zaps so much of my sleep that I have less to give and less time freedom to do things on a whim. And I also remember when I was single, the difficulties of watching a friend find love and feel like they were preoccupied a lot of the time, but keeping plans on the calendar and carving out genuine time to connect, even if it’s brief, is so good. And if you find in time that your values, interests or ideas start to change, you can either choose to see that as adding more dynamic to your relationships orrrr make peace and give grace for the idea that we ebb and flow through friendships and closeness to people in life and that is ok. ♥️ This is a quick thought to text splatter so hopefully that all made sense.
