No. Bloomberg manage a lot of crisis and crime was low

Mike Bloomberg new how to manage the city, and cut the bureaucracy. But that third term left a bad taste in folk mouth. First, running for a third term, where people in this city are adamant about term limits. And stop and frisk, while starting off well, got too overzealous. The Olympics; I supported that initiative. But looking back, losing that was a good thing, because the Olympics are a debt machine. Congestion pricing is a good concept (driving in Manhattan is crazy). But, Bloomberg's presentation turned people off..!

He probably bought the third term.

@thomasjung6660 The excessive amount of campaign ads in folks' mailboxes turned off a lot of folk. That's why the race was called later than expected. Bill Thompson would have unseated Mike Bloomberg had Democrats (Clinton, Obama, etc) seriously backed him. A few city council members who voted to extend term limits lost their seats.

If they really studied the streets, they will find out why certain streets are congested. Basically with their inclusion of bike lanes, turning lanes , turning arrows etc the city create the congestion. Even if the price is necessary $15 is way out of line.
@thescatman502911 ай бұрын
@thomasjung6660 It was already bad before the bike lanes, turning lanes and islands. More cars are being driven in Manhattan, THE most difficult place to drive in. First, Manhattan is too dense, and second, where are you going to park? Folk are so car-obsessed, knowing that it makes no sense to drive in Manhattan. Now, granted, Bloomberg's presentation of congestion pricing was too in your face and turned people off. But it's still needed.

@@thescatman5029 do u drive? If u don't you don't mind. I drove a taxi for many years . Traffic is bad but not so bad that u need to tack on an extra toll. Beside these extra obstacles, oh I forgot the bus lanes, traffic is usually cause by inconsiderate people like people stopping a whole lane to make a opposite turn. All these extra projects were created to give us the impression we do have extreme traffic. Even if we do what is their excuse after 10 until 6 in the morning. Surcharges have been mandated for many years for any type of car service. When will this stop ? When the city is a ghost town. I DON'T drive anymore so it doesn't affect me but let's be fair. No toll collectors, cameras doing jobs that were meant for cops. They are making nonsensical laws to give them a reason for a "money grab". When you are rich, you don't care. When you are just making it as it is, it doesn't seem right. Go by one of these turning lanes with turning lights and see the type of problems it creates.
