My city here in NYS has a major population of these people and most are good working folks who do not cause trouble. Their population is big enough here to have set aside funding specially for them through different service entities. So many wonderful people around the world

i am amaze about your dresses. I am an Igorot from the Philippines and i can see a little resemblance of my cultural clothes to your traditional clothes. I know that the Filipinos comes from different parts of asia mainly Malaysian, china, Thailand etc. but i really don't know where my forefathers came from.

Karen are the elder brother of the descendent of Manmasi Indo tibetan. Until unite of the brethren no particular nation like Hmong.kachin.Chin.Mizo.Naga.Bodo.Meetei.Kuki.Zou and Hmar will never got Independent its a promise of our fore father.So avoid hatred its others let's unite and fought together for our Land.

karen are not third largest lol karen are second largest in burma Its because Majority of population is around the world and and large number are in Thailand While Shan people only stay in Shan state and you will rarely see any of them is western country.

The British were good people who fought the Japanese in 1945 .

Do you know they pleaded for the Karen Army to help them as they were skilled fighters in the terrain . The Karen soldiers fought side by side with them , they enabled the defeat of the Japanese. The British Army promised them help against the Burmese Army . When the war was over , because of $$$$ the British betrayed and deserted the Karen Army and fought against them siding with the Burmese Army

@@subatomic10 Those force 136 men fought side by side with the Karen levies . The rate at which Young Karen's came to join the British overwhelmed their ability to train them . Good British officers refused to make promises that were not within their control . The British influence in Asia was lost by 1948 . I will try and put together a film showing documents and artifacts from 1945 in my collection. With a letter from Saw Marshal Shirm ..."Group In Charge " Intelligence .. The volunteers put in for back pay in 1945 . Saw Marshal Shurm stated in a 1989 interview that the British forgot the Karens of Shegyin after 1945 .. This was a generalisation. I hope all Karen people do not suffer under the new Burma government .
