Oh my! You make it look so easy. At the very beginning when you are applying lots of water to a couple of colors, I wonder “what is she doing”? And then the magic happens. I love this piece. Thank you for your inspiration

Beautiful! I have a question. Do you have a problem with your fine point pens after doodling over watercolor? I enjoy that so much but was disappointed when I ruined the tip of two of my Micron and Pitt pens. Thanks for sharing and for letting us watch you fix issues.

thank you. i actually don't use the Pitt pens because their tips get ruined too quickly. however, i don't really have a problem with Micron pens. i apply a very light pressure when i use them so i guess that helps. but given the nature of watercolor paper, eventually they do get damaged a bit. it's just the nature of the beast.

LOl thank you Betty. no i didn't start out with the intention of a cityscape. but once i started smudging the green at the bottom, i knew i had the makings of a potential landscape or cityscape. as for the clipboard, i bought it either Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's when i was in Florida last year.

Another rediculously fun, inspiring, and inspired idea to try! I get so much inspiration juice from you, but where do you get yours from? I am too often impatient with myself to be better at this stuff. While I've been drawing all my life, I only started watercolor painting a couple months ago. Please tell me you've been doing this since you were - like - 4 y.o.! My big fear is that I lack talent. But I don't lack enjoyment of doing it, so it's still worthwhile.

your fear is not uncommon. it is only natural to feel that way at the beginning. however, art is 10% talent and 90% work. like anything, to find satisfaction in something, you must work hard at it. i have been watercoloring for 3 years now but have dabbled into drawing when i was a kid. and i art every day. if you enjoy the process like you've mentioned, there's not limit to what you can do. wishing you a beautiful and creative weekend!
