I learned several things watching this video. 1. I need to give my Yupo another chance. It’s currently languishing on a shelf. 2. Oh wow - removing color is as powerful as applying it! 3. You can use pencils on Yupo - very interesting. Thanks for the inspiration!❤

I find it interesting and courageous how you go through the "valley of the shadow of uncertainty" and emerge on the other side with something beautiful. There is something to be said about your fortitude and courage beyond just your creative gifts and abilities. You persevere in ALL your pieces, you share with your heart and you have no pretense . There is a life philosophy that springs from you and your work. Thank you for your love and creativity you share with the world! 😍👏👏👏👏👍🌈💖

CeeCee! I had absolutely no thought using watercolors on Yupo! I am into alcohol inks painting on substrates like Yupo or primed canvas. When I watched as you created using watercolors, my heart skipped with joy! The colors are soft, loved the fact that water 💧 will remain on the surface, as isopropyl alcohol dries quickly. You have more playtime! How fun. I must try this. I truly hope you keep this up on KZbin. I trust so many of your followers can study your expertise, and technique using Yupo or a similar substrate. Thank you, so much. It's Lovely!😘💖👍🎨🌹

LOL! Watercolor "properly" on Yupo. Yupo is "in charge". "Wink, wink!" That's what makes it so much fun. I haven't done anything on it in years but what a trip that is. Another paper to try if you like the paint to "take charge" instead of you, is Canson's "Canva-Paper". It will pool and slip and do all kinds of fun things. If I want more control, I give the paper a coat of gesso first. But I absolutely LOVE the linen-look finish. I think Fredrix also make a linen look as well.

I really enjoy seeing the process of your painting and how it comes out at the end. I love how you let your intuition guide you. Yupo is definitely difficult to paint with watercolors. I have used Q-tips and small pieces of sponges barely damp to remove paint which is one of the advantages of working on Yupo. I have also seen others use straws to blow on a dollop of paint to create abstract flowers too. You have so much patience with your doodling I love the result. Beautiful!

That finished at FAB, but I have to admit I thought at first, Oh no, that Yupo paper is NOT good for watercolors. Then I thought if that were me, well, right in the round file it goes. So I was entranced by how you worked your magic with it. WoW!!!
