Nah, it's still mostly advertising. IDK how Spiff's rates compare to a QA's, but note that his feedback cycle is very long. A normal tester gets a dev build, finds something, and directly emails the devs, possibly with logs because it's a dev build. Spiff gets a prerelease build and makes a video a week later. Look at the tone of Spiff's videos. Its all about how fun it is to mess with these games. There is a subtext that cleverness and creativity is highly rewarding in finding these exploits.

Thats what i wanted from civ, a bit more oompf, a bit more *tiny* fantasy. C'mon Spiff, you didn't dig deep enough on this one. Play as Mother Russia. They are immune to blizzard, and enemies take double damage from blizzard in your territory (which is, quite frankly, a death sentence: it deal at least 80 damage), and of course they have a tundra bias for an easy access to blizzards. For your faith production, the Aurora dance pantheon provide 1 faith per adjacent tundra tile to your holy site. In addition, Liang (a governor) have a bonus that make the city immune to damage from the environment, which is perfect if you want to artificially trigger volcano eruptions. Those are the only disasters that provide science.

I love that you point this stuff out. I was starting to wonder if I was the only one seeing just how messed up this iteration of Civ is. The AI uses exploits on me *all the time.* And being new to Civ VI (though I've played most of the others and conquered them), I didn't know how it was doing some of the broken stuff it was doing. I could have 1300 military strength and half a dozen nukes against a country with only 80 military strength, and they would be well over 800 in fewer than 20 turns unless I started nuking cities just to keep them from massing up maddeningly quickly. And no matter how much pressure I put on them, how wide my lead is, I could *never* arrange the surrender of a city in exchange for peace. They'd rather be wiped out completely than surrender a city for peace. It's as if the team programmed the AI to 100% *NEVER* surrender a city. However, they'll demand one of yours and not let up until you turn the tide of battle or just give it up.
