Rome was already one of my favorite civilizations in Civ 6, but Julius Caesar made it even better, by giving you a way to pump extra gold into your economy very early on. I'm playing on a standard size pangaea map, deity difficulty, no extra game modes. UI mods only.

I love how the civ game starts out simple but once you Explore and encounter your neighbors it becomes tactical really quick and sending turns very wisely

I know sometimes other games may get more views, but I simply LOVE all of your CIV content. ... By the way, a while ago you tossed around the idea of doing an old CIV play-through; one game of CIV 1, one game of CIV 2, one game of CIV 3, ... etc. Maybe I was dreaming, but if not, any more thoughts along this line? :) ... Maybe it could be interesting to do the same CIV on the same map (Earth map) for every version?

Around minute 25: got very nervous when you didn't upgrade your existing slinger once you had the cash ... and kept postponing the second archer. These early barb camp rushes can be brutal on deity difficulty.

I got a question about loyalty, I recently capped a city from Dido, its getting -18 loyalty per turn. I'm going to lose the city a whole 3 turns after I capture it and there is literally nothing whatsoever I can do to stop it. I've got a governor there, city is garrisoned, I've rush built a monument, I have two policy cards giving +5 loyalty, I have an acolyte on the way to convert the city. I've bought luxuries to get the amenity level up. Despite ALL of these things, I am still losing loyalty. I've made peace with Dido and she has ceded the city to me - which as far as I can tell - means absolutely nothing gamewise? I think loyalty rules are just silly. I'm only playing Prince as well.

It could be population level, if she has higher pop cities around it than you do that will have a megative loyalty effect

Well I recapped it and razed the cursed place. I think the loyalty rules are just a bit over the top to be honest. I need to figure out a better strat though.

why the struggle with choosing the pantheon? river goddess is always amazing. also the desert folklore would have been amazing, slap the holy site beside the gov plaza and industrial zone and thats a +8 holy site before the card.
