1988 CRX Si - B18C Timing Belt

I just bought a 320k mile CRX from the first owners son. His mom got it in 91 and drove it from AL to VA to visit her kids with it. It's in 8/10 condition in and out but needs a lot of little things. I'm so grateful for your channel and all the work you've shared with us. It's like a video bible I get to use whenever I'm tackling the next portion of the car. Thanks so much for all you've done for the community to keep these cars on the road.

What are the main differences between the JDM Integra SiR B18c vs a JDM TYPE R B18c? and could i convert my B18c to a type r B18c?

On one 9f my crxs i put a 8 inch diesel pipe and it sounded amazing seriously people where like what how does it sound so great 0:55

You should have changed the crank and cam seals while you were in there. as this engine sat for a long time those seals will leak eventually. if the engine is still out please change them. its really easy to do now compared to when its inside the bay. Also change the rear main seal while gearbox is separated.

I agree as I changed all of them on mine b4 install last year just cause who knos when it was done last if ever on mine at time 25yr old engine

Where do buy your engines from?

This particular engine was bought in a wrecked CRX that had sat for 10-12 years. It’s originally an HMotorsOnline swap from 2008-2009. They are hard to find these days without spending $5,000-8,500.

Nice! Not sure if you did it, but you are meant to rotate the cam gears by 3 teeth before tightening the tensioner bolt.
