probably because it was marketed as the 'saving pvt ryan' of this decade. but the actual movie was not it. I saw it, and it was a good movie in and of itself, with a solid message but it was not a movie with the focus on battle strategy and the plight of the soldiers specifically. I think most people got mad at that fact. But it shouldn't be at the writer, the anger should be to those who were advertising this.

To say it didn't live up to expectations, It left a whole lot of questions unanswered. what caused it who was fighting for what, a whole lot of uniformed soldiers on both sides wearing the same uniform which lost me. Maybe watching it for a second time might give me a different perspective but at this stage it like trying to find Waldo in a picture that does'nt have him in. the confusion set in very early in the movie and struggled to understand what it was all about, and what brought about the fictional events. It's like reading a novel with no clear direction or focus, Just a mash up of events without knowing where it's going.

Watched this movie and I was disappointed it didn’t explain why things happened specifically. I also thought it was comical / unrealistic how as Americans our known world has essentially crumbled. Yet, these reporters think they are going to travel on roads in open vehicles. This would be considered apocalyptic in most peoples view. So - I would have decked out my vehicle to withstand attacks / gun fire as much as possible. Yet they were driving around in an older vehicle with windows all around. Any sniper could take them out at any moment. Also I would carry protection. The country is too vast not to.
