4:44 I love the Rebel diplomat! It has to be the most useless agent in the whole series. Cannot trade, declare war, make peace or do any sort of diplomacy. He just walks around the map enjoying life.
@Alwaysright0323 күн бұрын
Can make peace, i had no wars once i started and continued for 40 turns. The rebel diplomat offered me a ceasefire and i accepted. I had no wars for 10 turns or so after that. I was playing as the saxons on barbarian invasion disc edition.

@@Randomstuffs261 haha yes really, i thought this cant be right but i had a neutral stance with the rebels. I had only my starting settlement.

I had a rebel diplomat offer me to become their protectorate. I obviously declined, but it only happened once.

The full stack of Arcani says more about this save than words ever could 😂 With the money built up and all the enemies being roman, it’d take one diplomat to win this game. Bribe the tide to turn
@selder_723 күн бұрын
I did a senate mission only run with Scipii just there, went like 50 turns without a single mission. Eventually Rome revolted, I assume the population made the squalor too high and them not having religious buildings screwed them. I took it back and then the Julii and Brutii turned on me, on top of me being in defensive wars against Spain, Numidia and Egypt. was a slog but I beat them all eventually

To be honest I have never ever used Arcani. I wouldn't know what to do with them.

this seems like a deliberate disaster, the army of arcanii really set off my detector, and the rebel settlements make me think he used a console commands to kill them.
@MelkorGG22 күн бұрын
The guy who did this was running an experiment, to see if it was possible to get the ai to start the civil war and have the player remain loyal and at peace with the senate. He basically just sat there clicking end turn for 90% of it. This guy has access to the leaked source code and was using the new info to fiddle things and see what he could do to manipulate the senate. The arcanni was just something for him to spam click on whilst waiting for the ai to do its thing. The experiment resulted in it being impossible, so rather than just waste it, he sent it to me to have fun with. So, it is a fake lets play, but it was not faked to become a disaster campaign.

Interesting. All of Iberia is rebel. Could it be that he used to own it and lost it due to public order issues? Or maybe he made them rebel on purpose just so he'd stay small

Okay, that might be a stupid question, but I started my total war journey with Medieval 2, so I don't really get all of the Rome 1 mechanics, pantheon should be by definition a temple for all the gods, and it seems, that every temple variant gets a pantheon as a final stage, what does it give as bonuses, cause in my mind it should provide some overall bonuses from all temples not a specific god ones, and I don't really have the means to check if that is true or not?

Melkor should I buy Atilla or stick to BI
@MelkorGG22 күн бұрын
Attila requires a good PC, and it is also a big change. If you have a good PC, want the challenge, and are familiar with the Rome 2 era, or later, TW games, go Attila. If not, stick to BI. However, you need to also factor in Mods. BI has a load of Mods + Remaster Mods. However, Attila has many great mods also.

What battle difficulty was this on? Judging by the disaster battle where your Urbans got annihilated, I would say it's on very hard difficulty. Another reason why you lost that battle was the fact that you divided your forces and you were forced to rush and tire half of your army to save another half which was overwhelmed by the main body of enemy army. This wouldn't have been a problem, if you added a few more units of cavalry to your doom stack. You then would be able to quickly save any unit currently in trouble.
@MelkorGG20 күн бұрын
Very Hard/Very Hard. Issue was, I've never really fought a full Urban stack before - I usally rush my campaigns before the Romans can recuit them.
